SAILOR MOON UPDATE IS CURRENTLY OUT OF PRINT ...

That's right. Sadly, the short life of Sailor Moon Update (SMU) is finished forever. SMU is no longer being published by LUNA-tic Services, due to minimal readers (of the paper version) and minimal information left to report. However, all links below, and all articles are still available, and will continue to be available, so long as interest remains. Thank you everyone, for your continued support.

          MARCH
Based on  the editor's column "LUNA-tic's CORNER".

Such is the swan song of SMU. It was an incredible two years. That's a lot for a single person-production. I will miss you, SMU. You, the readers have given me incredible memories. I feel as though I am loing a best friend.

I probably should explain why SMU is no longer. SMU was a dedicated newsletter to Naoko Takeuchi's Sailormoon. As everyone knows, Sailormoon ended in 1997, which was the same year that SMU was started. SMU was incredibly popular, since it was one of the first newsletters of it's kind. Eventually, though, technology, and general lack of new developments got the better of SMU, and perhaps, LUNA-tic got a life, as well ^.~ My efforts have are now dedicated to much bigger, and better projects. One being, totally remaking "LUNA-tic's CORNER" as well as the "Meowy Mewbikki HQ's".

Thanks to all my readers. Here's to you, my precious readers. Perhaps, someday, the minor incarnation of SMU (Sailor Moon Quarterly) may make it out of my dream world and into reality. Who knows?? ^.~

          XO XO XO LUNA-tic

USA CANCELS SAILOR MOON- THE REASONS
Apparently it was not bad ratings that led to the cancellation of Sailor Moon on December 26th, 1996. "Sailor Moon was dropped because the ownership of the USA cable network has changed hands. Previously, Universal and Viacom were partners in the USA. When this partnership was formed, the agreed that they would be limited in forming competing networks . . ." DiC will either convince USA to rebroadcast Sailor Moon with or without the newer episodes, or try for the fall of 1998 for Disney to broadcast the episodes.

LUNCH, ANYONE? The Heinz Foods Corporation has released a new line of "Sailor Moon Pasta." The canned "pasta in a tomato sauce" features characters from the show; Sailor Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Tuxedo Mask, Luna and Queen Beryl. Sailor Moon pasta is available in most major supermarkets.
