From Sue-Ann to Micky-J

From my new home,
Far away from you,
with my heart and my mind ,
I look to where you are.
 I can see you,
I see the way you are.
I look a little closer,
My heart begins to break.
 I study your eyes,
So wet and filled with pain.
I can see your mouth,
Clenched, o, so tight in anger,
And your head held low.

From my happy home,
Far away from you,
My ears, with my love,
I listen to mournful tones,
I can hear you,
I hear the hurt in your words,
I listen carefully now,
Your voice cuts like a knife.
I hear but angry prayer,
A hymn for me I recognize,
"take me Jesus, take me too."

From my lonesome home,
Far away from you,
With my body and my soul,
I can feel you.
Yes, my darling I can feel,
With my spirit I can feel,
I feel your chill,
An icy cover of hurt.
I feel the pain,
Pain deep within your heart,
Oh, my dear brother,
My spirit feel your love for me.

I see you walk to edge of death,
I hear your own lost words,
I feel you coming closer,
Closer, to our peaceful home.
Come, take my hand,
Walk with me, come,
Through the soft lights of heaven.
