Calling all you who are Native American at heart, and all of you who have said "I have Native American blood but I can't prove it." It's time to join us, Ted and Denise, in the Mother Earth Warrior Society. Ever get tired of thinking, "Well, I care about Mother Earth, I care about the precious animals, I care about the quality of the air and the water, but I can't do anything. The rich control the government, and I am powerless." Everyone must stop thinking that way. The Great Spirit has put us here to do our part, to become Mother Earth warriors. This generation will be judged by history according to how we respond to what can only be described as global crises. Entire species of plants and animals are being wiped out at 50 times the natural rate. The rainforest (the lungs of the Earth) and coral reefs are being destroyed at an alarming rate. It is estimated that they will both be all gone in 40 years. Large corporations, using the political power which they have purchased, are polluting our water, our air, destroying our watersheads and cutting down the last of our old growth forest. It is our responsibility, as the people who are living now, to protect our Mother Earth, first by educating ourselves, and then by taking action.

How do we do it? First, we teach by example, by living in a more Earth friendly way. Then we become involved by writing to the politicians, telling them we will only vote for politicians who are friendly to our environment, such as the Green Party, and we encourage others to do the same. We write to companies telling them we will boycott them unless they are Earth friendly. We participate in and/or organize protest against politicians or corporations which are not Earth friendly. We must speak for those who have no voice- the four legged ones, those who fly, those who swim and those with roots in sacred Mother Earth. Let us take back the Earth is our war cry!

How to become a part of the Mother Earth Warrior Society? If you are already doing something consider yourself a member already. If not then shout the war cry and get to work.
