Misato lives with Asuka Langley Soryu and Shinji Ikari. Misato is Shinji Ikari's gaurdian since Shinji's Father, Gendo seems to want nothing to do with Shinji. Misato is known for her inability to cook and her fondness of beer and curry. (she has even got Pen Pen to like curry and beer). Misato is in charge of the "Children" and the missions the EVA's must complete. Misato is the only person to have seen the "Second Impact" and survived. As her father was killed in the second impact Misato is driven to kill all the "Angels" as they killed her father.
