BIOGRAPHY

REALIFE is an original. The only clear classification for the three member band
from Cullman, Alabama is "Christian". Their music is a mix of rhythm & blues, funk, rock, jazz, and even a bit of 50's doo-wop. However, the music never strays from the straight-forward message of Jesus Christ. Members include: David Dubberly (drums & vocals), Michael Falkner (guitar & lead vocals) and Barry Leith (bass & vocals).
The band is first and foremost, a ministry. Their music is designed to reach the lost, and also to uplift the body of Christ. "People who have cut their teeth on Megadeth and The Stones won't hang around for traditional tunes. We catch their attention with the music and then hook them with the message".
REALIFE is not simply a performance. "Our spirituality does not stop when the show is over. We live it! We are a testimony that the Lord has brought us from darkness to something real. It is our life".
While not always "politically correct", the band refuses to shy away from sensitive and hard hitting issues. "If the Word says it's wrong, it ain't ever gonna be made right!". This belief has evolved into songs that address homosexuality, abortion and
the liberal government. Popular numbers include, "Hard Way" and "What In Hell".
REALIFE is a band on the move. They have opened for 4-HIM, GEOFF MOORE AND THE DISTANCE, WHITEHEART, and played Birmingham, AL's CITY STAGES as well as the 1998 SHRIMP FESTIVAL in Gulf Shores AL. They also minister at youth rallies, churches and rehabilitation retreats.
