Charity work!

The charity CD's. The album and the EP + Red Hot+Dance + the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert on video.

During this time he released an EP - "Five Live" in 1993. It contains 2 songs from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert ("Somebody to love" and "These are the days of our lives" with Lisa Stansfield.), and 3 other live songs by George ("Killer/Papa was a Rollin“ Stone" and "Calling you"). This EP and another CD - "Red Hot + Dance" (contains 3 songs by George: "Do you really want to know", "Too Funky" and "Happy.") was made for AIDS benefit. The artists wasn“t paid anything - everything went to AIDS research...

"Somebody! Oh, somebody! Can anybody find me somebody to love?""Can anybody find me... somebody tooooooo.... come on! *LOVE* Yeah! "

He's later said that this was the best thing he'd ever done in his life, and that it was a really great thing to be able to stand there in front of 40,000 Queen fans and actually sing one of Freddie's songs. And the way they did the note I tried to explain by the picture over, was unbelievable. The US version of the CD - "Five Live" Queen's country-related song "39" is on also. One of the few bonus-tracks the United States have got that the Europeans didn't get... :-)

"There's NO way I'm kissing her!"Lisa once said that it was a great thing for her to sing together with George, and it was a thing she wouldn't forget. (WHO WOULD??) Personally she didn't know Freddie, but George told her all about him and she found that he'd been a really amazing and warm person. If I'd been her and George'd said that WHOEVER was a great guy I'd believe him... :-) Guess who wants to kiss George... But poor Lisa only got it on her cheek. Poooor girl :-)

"If this isn't heaven, then I don't know!" "Hey, you're just too funky for me, I gotta get inside of you, and I'll show you heaven if you let me..."

"Too Funky" from the "Red Hot + Dance" album was the second time George'd got all the supermodels in a video for him. You never see him other than behind the camera where it seems like he has a real good time. Even though people was speculating about his sexuality you can't blame him for looking... I mean, what man with a normal sight would NOT stare at the most gorgeous women in the world if he had them as close as George did? Noone I guess... :-)

"Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" with Elton John was a charity-product also, and the single was at top ten for ages - peaking at #1 for weeks.

The most recent song - on a single - is the duet between George Michael and Toby Bourke. Yes, it's "Waltz Away Dreaming." George made a deal with a radio station, and announced that for every £1 that came in, he would give £2 - to "Help a London Child." He laughed and said: "If Elton John calls just tell him it was a joke!" (Could have gotten expensive for ya, huh? lol... ) Anyway, it's pretty interesting HOW George and Toby met... I know a woman who worked with Toby for a few years in London, and she told me that they'd been working on this project for a long time, until he one day came to her and said: "Kristin, I'm quitting my job!" She got pretty upset and asked how the f*** he could leave her like that. He just smiled and said: "Cause I've got a record contract with George Michael!" She thought to herself: "Yeah, right. As IF!" and laughed. "Very funny, Toby, what about the real reason, huh?" Then he told HER the whole story, which is as such: He got called up by this guy who claimed to be George Michael's manager, and said that George had seen/heard him play and wanted to meet. He didn't believe him for one minute, but agreed to meet in a restaurant to listen to this guy who he obviously thought was just kidding him. Toby got to the place and met the guy he'd talked to. They sat there for about ten minutes, and Toby was laughing to himself thinking, "What a jerk"... UNTIL: All the sudden came GEORGE MICHAEL fastly in the door, sat down beside him and said, "Sorry that I'm late!" Do I have to say that the chin of a certain person fell down on his lap, and the same person had to ask the manager to repeat himself...?? :-)
