Chino grew up in northern California. "Chino Moreno has a voice that can go from screaming bloody murder to crooning a soft, haunting sound." Moreno describes his band's sound as "sweet and ruthless". Chino met the band with his skateboard at a little party at the bands house. They asked him if he could sing "danzig" for them, and he did. It turned out he sang it pretty well and before you knew it he joined the band. Chino is friend to both the band TOOL and KORN. As a kid, he grew up listing to really mellow stuff. He has been really close to the other band members since childhood.
It is very hard to describe Chino's singing in a short phrase, but I will try! One of the most, if not the most talented singer in a relatively new group out in the music world right now! A singer who not only attracts your attention, but demands it!!!! He can go from a harmonic melody, to a gutwrenching scream, whisper, then back to the melody in a matter of seconds!!!!!!!!!!!!
