27th of July:
- Okay, I haven't updated the site in like a long time but that's mainly because there wasn't much news so I kinda did nothing. Besides that I was busy with other shit like my study and so. But anyway, I'm back with some breaking news (wel not that 'breaking'): Robin has been replaced for Maarten as their second guitarplayer, who already went on the European tour with I against I. This tour with Down By Law was a succes. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to see them but that doesn't matter, they've put out a tourreport on their website, just click on it. Besides that, I've got some new tourdates (some shows in The Netherlands and Belgium). You people in the USA who are still waiting for 'I'm a F***ed Up.....' to be released, I still dunno when that's gonna happen. Just get it through mailorder or internet or something. You can get it also through Emusic.com, click here to go directly to that site. You have to pay though, which sucks but it's better than nothing. Oh yeah, I against I probably get their own domain, like IagainstI.nl or something. Fuck the asshole who claimed IagainstI.com, there isn't even a website on it! Keep on sending in those surveys, I need some more. Well, as soon as there is some more news, I'll post some of my crap again. Later.
- I against I go on an European Tour with Down by Law. They will play shows in The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, France, UK, Slovenia and Belgium. Check the tourdates for more info.
- A new single 'Space Odyssey' has been released in Europe. It was taken from their latest album 'I'm A F***ed Up Dancer But My Moods Are Swinging'. It also features a live track of 'The Signs' (from 'Headcleaner' and a unreleased track called 'Call to Arms' from the recordings of 'I'm A F***ed Up Dancer But My Moods Are Swinging'.
- I against I apparently have a new member, called Robin Baard. Some people mailed me some info, thanks about that. He's only 16 (!) years old and I against I found him when he was practicing with his own band (called 'Buckle Trunk') he started playing some I against I songs. They liked it and invited him to practice with them. Things worked out and now he's since 2 months their second guitarplayer. You can hear the whole story on him and other things in a Dutch interview from the Noorderslag-Festival. Go to interviews to see and hear it!
- The new album has been released in Europe. It's called "I'm A F***ed up Dancer But My Moods Are Swinging". These are the songtitles:
1. Intro (not mentioned on the album)
2. 1963
3. Nothing Happened
4. Who's Losing?
5. A Love Supreme
6. Only Alphabet
7. Change Of Address
8. Seconds Away
9. One Last Warning
10. Standard-Free

12. Space Odyssey

Two other songs were also recorded, but didn't make it to the album: Digging Deeper & Arms To Call. They will probably be used as B-sides. The album was recorded and mixed by Theo van Rock and Peter Rave (Rollins Band, Urban Dance Squad) in Tienen, Belgium. It will be released in the USA around the summer of 2000.
- A song of the new album called 'The Best Place In The World To Leave' features on the European version of Punk-O-Rama IV. The record only costs about 4-5 Euro, that's about $ 5 and features further an unreleased track of Pennywise, plus songs of 98 Mute, Osker, Rancid, Bad Religion, NOFX, H2O, Ten Foot Pole and many more.
- The official I against I Page has been up for a while now, it's called 'An I against I Carol' and it's pretty cool. It has a really original setup for a website. Go there!
- I against I features with two songs ("Ordinary Fight" & "Maybe Tomorrow") on a new Playstation game: Streetsk8er! Other bands on the soundtrack are All and Less Than Jake. Check out www.streetsk8er.com.
