| Paul Arthurs (who's almost always
called Bonehead) is the oldest member of Oasis and plays rhythm guitar.
He also plays the piano on the songs "Digsy's Diner", "Don't
Look Back in Anger", and "Wonderwall" as well as at
some live shows.
When Paul was a kid in grammar
school, his father made him shave his hair really short. It also
didn't help that this was at the time when long hair (a la The Beatles)
was considered the pinacle of coolness among kids and teens. Everyone
at school called him "Bonehead" and eventually the name
stuck.
Bonehead
is the founding member of Oasis. He's the one that brought Paul
McGuigan, Tony McCarroll and some singer (whom they soon fired)
together in a band called "The Rain". He may have written
one or two songs of his own, but at that time they mostly played
covers of previoulsy written songs. Once Liam Gallagher joined the
band, he started writing songs with him. Later, Noel joined the
band and took over all of the song writing chores.
After recording
the 4th Oasis album Bonehead decided to quit the band to dedicate
to other things in his life.
