William Tell Overture
Gioachini Rossini 1792-1868 The William Tell Overture comes from the opera "William Tell" written in 1829 in 1844 it was first performed in Covent Garden, London. Rossini came from a musical family, and wrote his first opera at the ripe old age of 18. The Italian composer wrote 41 operas in total in his life, including his two most famous, "William Tell" and "The Barber of Seville". This piece, recorded on a clarinet synthesizer, I doubt will make you laugh (if you do laugh please send a comment to us on the commments page) but it is still a favourite in our family, and we still wait for a piece which fails to amuse us.
