By
pressing his MIDI footpedals, the Edge(a) can control U2's computers from the stage. The
MIDI signals from his pedals are received by Opcode studio 5 MIDI interface (b) and
processed by Opcode Max software. This triggers a specific MIDI sequence along with a burst of SMPTE timecode that enables the video crew )c) to synchronize the video with music. The setup also lets Des Broadbery (d) trigger the sequences from his keyboard. |
