001129 Juergen Buechner gets his own page
Our good friend Juergen Buechner, who drives for EuropeStoxx in ESCORS, has launched his own website where he will be writing about the different leagues he drives in and other sim racing related stuff. Check it out here! It's in the Links section as well.
001129 Volker Roschansky wins in the SHM Challenge
Although Andy Geldmacher dominated most of today's SHM Challenge race at Las Vegas, Volker Roschansky could take his first win in the competition. Andy was disconnected after leading the first 27 laps..... More info here

001126 Andreas Geldmacher teams up with us!
Frank Kotzahn's substitute driver for this weekend, Andreas Geldmacher, today confirmed he will join SHM Racing on a permanent basis. He will drive in the ETS, and will probably continue acting as a sub driver in GED and EC. Welcome aboard! View Andreas' page here. Erwin Vandikkelen's updated members page is here.
Sunday November 26th: ETS season opener at Daytona
Trucks on superspeedways? You bet! SHM Racing have a good field of entries in the European Truck Series this season: Anders Sundin (2nd in the final standings last season), Frank Kotzahn(Rookie of the year), Gary Waltrip and David Holden, who only will compete with trucks in ESCORS. Add to that our latest compatriot Erwin Vandikkelen, and we have a killer line up! Count on us in the ETS!
Saturday November 25th 14.00 CET: European Cup season opener at Daytona
The European Cup race could at last be held at Daytona, and was run on another server than the usual ESCORS server, which coincidentally decided to work as well..... Oh well... Brand new SHM Racing recruit Erwin Vandikkelen had a great run, and battled long and hard for the lead, mainly with frenchman Julien Millour, who went on to win the race, and deservedly so as he is one of the more popular drivers on the ESCORS circuit. Erwin got a black flag for speeding in the pits on his last stop, and lost contact with the front. He managed to finish 6th anyway, which must be considered a good result under the circumstances. Other SHM driver in the race today, Anders Sundin, had not much luck. He was involved in one way or another in all three incidents that caused yellows.... His car suffered substantial damage and could only lap 187-188 mph for the last 75 laps. He finished 14th , four laps back, just behind last season's champion Helmut Eimann. That's Sundin's first time outside the top 10 since last season's race at Talladega. Second in the race was Joris van der Westen, who at last had the luck on his side. He has suffered from many disconnections, and it's good to see him finish in a good position. Wolfgang Peter was third, last season's title runner up Hendrik Gerhardt fourth and Thomas Rymas fifth. Good and clean race, keep it up boys and girls! Here are the unofficial results:

Saturday November 25th 11.00 CET: GED season opener at Talladega
Frank Murger became the first frenchman ever to win a league race sanctioned by ESCORS, congrats! The server once again failed to operate, and the race that was initially planned to be held at Daytona was moved to similar superspeedway Talladega. That seems to have been the right move for the SHM boys! Magnus Hagström got third position, right behind Jody de Vries, who made his best result in this league yet. Andreas Geldmacher, this weekend's substitute driver for SHM's Frank Kotzahn, made a good impression on us by taking pole position and finishing fourth. Andreas will also pilot Frank's truck in sunday's ETS race, and hopefully we will have him race for us again in the future... Steve Claeys rounded out the top 5 in a race that saw five yellows, which must be considered a good sign for the rest of the season.
001126 Server failure cancels ETS Daytona race
You heard it right, it happened again. We all hope that the ETS can get a new server, and rumour has it that might be the case. More info as it evolves/gets official.
001125 Julien Millour and Franck Murger victorious at Daytona and Talladega
Today's two ESCORS races offered fine and clean racing, a total of 8 yellows in two races is not bad at all. Julien Millour won the first European Cup race at Daytona, and Franck Murger won the Grand European Division race at Talladega. As for SHM Racing, Magnus Hagström finished third and Andreas Geldmacher, substitute driver for Frank Kotzahn, finished fourth in the GED race. Not quite the same success in the EC race though. Erwin Vandikkelen was best with his 6th position and Anders Sundin made his worst race ever in a league race to finish 14th. Gary Waltrip had connection troubles and did not start. More here.
001125 Erwin Vandikkelen is a member of SHM Racing
We're happy to announce that Erwin Vandikkelen, master of the roadcourses, has joined our team. We're now up to seven members, and every single one is a potential race winner. Expect more to join up and reinforce us even more! Info on Erwin will be up ASAP.
001120 Volker Roschansky scores a top 3
Volker Roschansky got third position in a race in the GNC Open at Las Vegas. Congrats!
Volker Roschansky(in front here) took the first top 3 position for SHM Racing this season
001118 Server failure cancels all ESCORS races
Sadly all three ESCORS race this weekend will be cancelled due to a server breakdown. That includes the GED race that was run for about 40 laps. No results were saved so the entire season will start over next weekend. Too bad for our drivers, especially Magnus Hagström who had 6th position at the time the server stopped working. Frank Kotzahn was running 11th, but had suffered from some bad luck. Well, I guess we'll practice Daytona for another week.... bet we'll be really good at it come next weekend! See ya there!
001115 Frank Kotzahn shows determination
New SHM recruit Frank Kotzahn showed that he doesn't intend to be standing in the shadows this season. He won the first SHM Challenge race at Talladega. Volker Roschansky finished second, Anders Sundin third and Magnus Hagström fourth. Gary Waltrip failed to connect and David Holden didn't join either. Check the SHM Challenge page for pics and standings.

We're happy to announce that last season's Rookie of the year in the European Truck Series, german Frank Kotzahn has joined our team! He will compete in the ETS alongside Anders Sundin, Gary Waltrip and David Holden. SHM Racing will definitely be a force to be counted on in the ETS this season! Frank also drives in the German Nascar League. Frank's profile is here.

001107 Dirt Track Racing: Sprint Cars review will be posted.....
Seems Gary can't take his hands off the keyboard at the moment! Another great review will be up in the next few days, this time it's the DTR Sprint Cars sim that gets his attention. We will also announce a new team member shortly, someone who's already driving in ESCORS.... There's still room for more members too, write a mail and join us! I would also like to thank everybody who has voted in our poll, a new one will be up soon. Looks like you prefer (surprise, surprise....) Nascar and F1! Also some votes for CART and Moto GP, which are both nice series indeed. No votes for touring cars.... And only one vote for Rally and Sportscars(bet ya'll will be buing Colin Mc Rae 2 and World Sportscars anyway!) Look forward to more reviews on our page! I'm about to start on something myself......

001106 Nascar Heat article/review posted
Another fine piece of writing from Gary, this introduction to Papyrus' biggest threat against N4's world dominance, Hasbro's Nascar Heat, is a must-read! Go here to check it out!
Nascar Heat is a fantastic sim with great graphics and physics, but suffers from bad multiplayer, according to Gary Waltrip
001104 Thanks for your patience!
I haven't made any updates at all during the week, and we're still getting a good amount of hits. Thank you for that, visitors! There will be some major updates to the page during next week, for example we will present a new team member, so keep checking back. Next weekend will see the first official ESCORS event, the practice sessions at Greenville-Pickens. We may meet up there, sim racers! Have a good one 'til next time!
001029 Eimann took his second championship win in two days ; Gerhardt won today's race ; SHM 5th and 10th
A good race with a 49 lap green run ended with Hendrik Gerhardt winning and championship contenders Helmut Eimann and Anders Sundin finishing 3rd and 5th. That means Eimann's second championship win in two days! SHM's Gary Waltrip came in 10th. More pics and results here.
Lots of trucks roaring down the backstretch on lap 1.
001028 Helmut Eimann won the first EC championship today! ; Erwin Vandikkelen won the race ; SHM 6th and 10th
Erwin Vandikkelen won today's Sears Point race impressing everybody. Hendrik Gerhardt got disconnected after 19 laps and Helmut Eimann was crowned champion of the first European Cup championship. Magnus Hagström had his best result so far in the league, finishing 6th. Anders Sundin was 10th. More pics and results here.
Erwin Vandikkelen made another impressive road course performance at Sears Point
Sunday October 22nd 11.40 CET: ETS truck race at Nashville Speedway
Helmut Eimann won the race in big style, and takes the command going into the last race of the season. SHM's Anders Sundin, who is the major title contender, failed to get his truck to work as desired after his only stop. Eventually Hendrik Gerhardt muscled past to get second, and Sundin was third, one lap ahead of polesitter Joris van der Westen. SHM's other truck driver Gary Waltrip had a good day and finished fifth, his first top 5 so far. Certainly not the last though.... The main reason the top 3 in the race was one lap ahead of the rest of the pack was difference in pit strategies, and a yellow being handed out rather appropiately, just after everyone else had pitted. That was also the ONLY caution of the race, so the ETS holds on to its' reputation as a more fair and competitive league than the EC. Of course the fact that there's fewer drivers in the ETS plays a part, but there seems to be a different spirit in the ETS right now, which we will do everything to preserve. However, you can be 100% certain that the EC races will be of a higher standard next season, due to some changes in the rules department. Now we're looking forward to the ETS season closer at Fontana next week, which will be quite a change from the usually pretty short tracks that the ETS previously has been running on. See you there! Here are some pics, finally... Thanks Gary!

Not a large field, but a good one.... ETS leader #5 Helmut Eimann gets the better line...
The incident that caused the only yellow. #3 Joris Van der Westen Wrong way for both.....

#25 Juergen Buecner had a beautiful new truck to show off... Helmut crosses the finish line, winning in an impressive way
SHM driver Anders Sundin is third...... ....and Gary Waltrip takes his first top 5, good run! The flagman even
waves the right flag.....
Saturday October 21st 11.00 CET: EC race at Phoenix International Raceway
Ok, we got another messy race, but that's not really surprising since Phoenix is one of the harder tracks to race at. A total of 10 yellows isn't too bad after all, and there was some pretty good racing going on in the middle of the chaos too. When the smoke and dust had settled Thomas Rymas was the winner again, his second win in his fourth EC race. Nice going. Helmut Eimann made a mistake and blew his engine on lap 84, and that mistake could very well cost him the win in the championship. Our new championship leader is Hendrik Gerhardt after finishing 4th today, consistent as always. As for the SHM drivers David Holden did not make the start and is in doubt for his continuing in the ENC. More on this later. Gary Waltrip again suffered from bad connection and decided to leave the race after 20 completed laps to not risk any other driver's safety. Salutes to Gary, true SHM spirit! Magnus Hagström came back strong after failing to finish last race, which was his first. Today he managed to finish 10th, despite some problems with black flags and incidents. Anders Sundin was 7th, his day ruined by him being handed a black flag despite doing nothing wrong. Another driver, Martijn Bakker, also suffered from this which was likely caused by Juergen Buechner warping. Well, that's online racing, not much you can do about it except wishing that the online racing gods will smile at you the next time.... Now we're looking forward to an exciting season finale at Sears Point next week. Here's a little gallery from today's race, the results are below...

Almost the entire field prior to race start. Looks great, doesn't it? I wonder what kind of fuel Hendrik is using? Must be for UFO's...
Austrian and Aussie side by side... #21 Buechner and #27 Phil Clark. Steve Claeys was out of luck today. Nice monsters though.
#75 Anders Sundin tries to Dodge a wreckage..... ....and causes another one! Whoooops! Sorry.....
This is the view from #54 Helmut Eimanns front bumper. Looks bad... .....but somehow he manages to get through unharmed!
But here the day is over - his engine blows..... Hendrik goes by.... Gary Waltrip retired after 20 laps. Bad con. Too bad....
#44 Julien Millour manages to beat Hendrik Gerhardt despite "I'm first!", "No, I'm first!", "Hey, get out of the way! I'm first",
driving without a hood. Barriere, Rymas, Bakker and Gerhardt battles in the pits....

001026 Volker Roschansky made his online debut today!
Volker's got his ISP up and working and joined the SHM Racing practice today. He made an instant impression by being fastest in practice and taking pole in the practice race. He led most of the 11 lap race, but a late incident with Gary Waltrip ruined his chances. After a gruelling last lap battle, Anders Sundin took the win, just ahead of Magnus Hagström, despite being the slowest in practice.... Slower is faster, never EVER give up! I also made some changes to the pages, like putting the N3 and the GPL section together to the Sims section. Expect some more sims there later. I also added a Cars/Trucks section to the SHM Racing Team section, go there and check it out. Nothing new there though. Cockpits and stuff will be up there later.... Still no pics from the ETS race, sorry! I'll get 'em up as soon as I can!

001022 Helmut Eimann won today's ETS race at Nashville ; SHM third and fifth
Helmut Eimann extended his lead in the ETS after winning today's race at Nashville Speedway. Hendrik Gerhardt was second and Anders Sundin third. Joris van der Westen passed Gary Waltrip late in the race to take fourth, but nevertheless a brilliant top 5 for Gary! We won't give up the title fight yet either........ Full report and pics later....I forgot to save my replay... ;)
I actually got ONE pic before I disconnected today, and I think it's pretty representative....
001021 Thomas Rymas won at Phoenix today ; Helmut Eimann failed to finish
Rookie Thomas Rymas took his second win in only four races with the league and looks good for next season. Helmut Eimann blew his engine and was classified 12th, while the other championship candidate Hendrik Gerhardt got a good 4th position. SHM had an average race, Anders Sundin was 7th, Magnus Hagström recorded his first finish, a good 10th and Gary Waltrip had to retire due to technical problems after 20 laps. David Holden failed to start, due to connection issues. Full race report with pics here.

Sunday October 15th 11.40: ETS truck race at the Milwaukee Mile
Great day for us! We got our first in a long row of wins, and it was Anders Sundin who drove his Boston Bruins Chevrolet to victory lane today. Helmut Eimann finished second and the gap between Sundin and Eimann in the championship standings is now down to 25 points with two races to go. Michel Berk finished third closely followed by Sharon Cullen. Hendrik Gerhardt was fifth, one lap down. It was a good race overall, just two yellows and both pretty early on in the race, which worked to SHM racing's advantage. The winning setup and the qualifying setup will be posted soon on the Tracks page. Many had difficulties with tire wear, for instance Helmut Eimann who slowed down considerably towards the end of the race. Stefan Lippert had a good run, but got disconnected while leading the race. I feel for you, man.... SHM's brand new truck racer Gary Waltrip did pretty well to finish 7th. He had some encounters with other drivers, but nothing too bad... Expect him to be up front soon..... OK, what everyone's been waiting for - the race action! For your viewing pleasure:

Anders Sundin crosses the finish line to take the win. The flagman That's one ugly truck, Frank.....

Gary Waltrip gets a little loose...... ....and once again, this time with a little help from our friend Helmut...

001020 SHM Racing quartet at Phoenix?
We hope that we can get four starters at Phoenix tomorrow, and sure hope to get four finishers too! David Holden is still waiting for his first finish since rejoining the ENC, but seems to be on a hot streak right now, coming right off a win at Daytona on wednesday. Magnus Hagström will primarily aim to finish the race, since his first at Fontana was a disappointment with a blown engine, while Gary Waltrip will be hoping to improve from the 14th position he got last time out. Anders Sundin is in third position in the championship, but with only two races to go it seems impossible to get the title this year. A first win would be in place though. Hendrik Gerhardt and Helmut Eimann is battling for the championship, and will not be taking any risks, so a race win could be there for the taking...
001020 SHM Challenge...
To determine who is the sharpest driver within the team we will be handing out points after our main practice race each week... Points will probably be awarded as in F1 with 10 points to the winner 6 to second, 4, 3, 2 and one point to sixth, with 1 point going to the pole man, 1 point for most led and 1 point for 1 led. And perhaps one point for fastest race lap. The idea is to help us keep that fighting spirit up during the weeks and don't lose the edge, and of course push each other to better performance. More info as it evolves....

001019 Eimann penalised for crashing into Waltrip
The weekly official ENC newsletter announced that Helmut Eimann has received 15 penalty points for crashing into Gary Waltrip at last Sunday's race at the Milwaukee Mile. That narrows the gap to SHM's Anders Sundin to 10 points with two races to go in the series... Meanwhile SHM's Gary Waltrip also got penalised for jumpstarting in the same event, but the penalty was set to a 1 lap deduction and doesn't affect his points for the race. He also got a 5 points penalty for jumpstarting at the EC race at Fontana, California.
001018 David Holden wins at Daytona in ERL!
SHM driver David Holden won tonight's Daytona 250, the season opener for the ERL, where he drives for his other team HRI. New HRI member Kevin Chick finished 4th, so it looks bright for the team, hope you guys keep it up! And Dave, make some nice finishes for SHM Racing too........ 001015 First win for Anders Sundin and SHM Racing!
We've got our first win! Anders Sundin had a great run today at the Milwaukee Mile, and when Stefan Lippert, who was as dominant as usual, got disconnected nothing could stop him. He overtook Helmut Eimann, who had very bad tires, on lap 85 and led from there. Gary Waltrip didn't have an all bad race either and finished 7th. Next is a top 5...... Race report and action pics here.
#75 Anders Sundin about to overtake #5 Helmut Eimann out of turn 4 on lap 85. This was the last lead change of the race, luckily.... #19 Hendrik Gerhardt was not involved in the lead battle today
001015 Gary Waltrip joins the European Truck Series
SHM's very own racer Gary Waltrip joined the European Truck Series today and will make his debut at the Tony Roper Memorial 100 at the Milwaukee Mile. Good luck!
001015 Tragedy strikes CTS
Truck racer Tony Roper died on Saturday after a practice accident at Texas. The ENC crew decided to rename todays event to Tony Roper Memorial 100. Our thoughts are with Tony Roper, his family and friends. Race in peace.
001014 Helmut Eimann back on victory lane ; No lucky day for SHM racing
Helmut Eimann won today's EC race at California and extends his championship lead. SHM had some bad luck. Anders Sundin had a good run, but made his last stop under green. Problem was that a yellow came out on the next lap.... He also received a black flag, and finished 7th. Gary Waltrip had a tough race, received a few black flags and got wrecked a couple of times, but he managed to finish the race in 14th position. Magnus Hagström suffered a blown engine early in the race, and didn't finish. He'll be back for revenge though, count on that! Full race report will be up when the official results are posted, sorry..... Meanwhile enjoy ten full color pics from the race! Right here....
German Helmut Eimann reclaimed the initiative in the run for the championship title by winning today's race
001013 Three SHM cars at California tomorrow
It's more or less certain that we get three starters in the race tomorrow. Anders Sundin, Magnus Hagström and our newest recruit Gary Waltrip, who by the way will drive a #66 car instead of the #67 shown at the pic below. #67 was apparently occupied by Jody de Vries. Good luck all drivers, hope we get three finishers too! Read about this weekends races here. Gary's updated profile is here.
001013 SHM Egroup
SHM now got it's own egroup, exclusively available for our members. Applications for membership in the SHMracing egroup must be approved by us, so you'll have to a member of the team, or someone very special... That's where we'll be sharing our secret Super Setups and all the fun stuff you don't get to see on the website.....
001013 Greg Moore Memorial 250
Due to popular demand the ENC staff wisely decided to rename tomorrows event to Greg Moore Memorial 250. Great driver, great guy, you're missed, Greg!

001012 Gary Waltrip Jr joins SHM Racing
American driver Gary Waltrip Jr is now officially a member of SHM Racing. He is an experienced sim racer, but has yet to have his first outing as an online driver. Waltrip, 34 years of age and residing in Blaine, Washington is likely to make his debut for SHM Racing in the newly renamed Greg Moore Memorial European Cup race at California speedway this Saturday. Sunday October 8th 11.40: ETS truck race at Evergreen Speedway
Todays race at the short and very flat track Evergreen Speedway, located in Monroe, Washington, was dominated from practice to race finish by Stefan Lippert. Fastest practice lap, pole, most led laps and finally the win is for sure very impressive. Lippert is certainly one of the favorites for next season's championship title. Meanwhile the fight for the win this season continues. Before this race Helmut Eimann led, 25 points ahead of SHM:s Anders Sundin, so the main goal for these two drivers wasn't winning the race, but rather beating each other. The first 25 or so laps of the race was filled with yellows, and one couldn't help fearing it would be a repetition of what happened in yesterday's EC race. Thankfully it straightened out and most of the race was run under green. Anders Sundin who qualified poorly, was able to climb up through the field due to some accidents, and was having some great clean battles with austrian Juergen Buechner, and new trucker Sharon Cullen. Buechner decided to make one pitstop, which showed to be the wrong strategy today, since most of the field managed to do without stops. Cullen on the other hand could overtake Sundin, and eventually Eimann too and finished second. Eimann was third and Sundin 4th with Hendrik Gerhardt collecting the final top 5 position. So the championship remains close, Eimann is now 30 points ahead of Sundin and anything can happen in the final three races. Looking forward to it.... Enjoy some pics from todays action!

Saturday October 7th 11.00: EC race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway(Millenium Collectibles)
On a pretty sad day for the European Cup, new driver Thomas Rymas could secure his first victory in only his second race in the league. The first half of the race was ruined by incidents, and I don't think anyone's counted how many caution laps there were, but there were at least 15 caution periods. This feels like a disaster for the EC and the entire ENC project, since this was a sponsored race, and ENC now faces a possible parting with the sponsor, Millenium Collectibles. More news on this as the happenings evolve, we all sure hope MC will continue to support ENC in the future too. For more sad news, a lot of drivers quit the race by free will or got booted. Among the booted was championship leader Helmut Eimann, and this sure makes the championship even tighter with just three events to go. Second place went to Erwin Vandikkelen, who led the race until close to the finish, but was unable to keep up the pace due to heavily worn tires. Steven vad der Meiren managed a good third position, Hendrik Gerhardt was fourth and Ludovic Barriere fifth. SHM:s Anders Sundin recorded a 6th position out of the 11 finishers, but will most likely not be able to challenge anyone for the championship. On the other hand Hendrik Gerhardt closed the already small gap to a minimum in today's race, and is now only 2(!) points behind Eimann in the run for the championship. One must also consider that Gerhardt is a road course specialist, so the season finale at Sears Point will probably be a hard nut for Eimann to crack. SHM:s David Holden had to sit out the race due to problems connecting to today's race, which was a shame. Next week we hope that Magnus Hagström will be able make his EC debut, but he will not appear until we have agreed he's appropriatly prepared for racing N3 online. He has some experience racing GPL online though, so it shouldn't be a problem. Check some of the action right below.
Anders Sundin

001009 BBRL news
Randy Mahlum finished third in the first IROC event which apparently was a pretty ugly affair. He was with that position top of the BBRL drivers. BBRL also welcomes some new drivers this week: #6 Wes Bennett (a.k.a. WIGG), #69 Bryan Williams, #12 Bruce Williams (a.k.a. RUDEDG) and #8 Bill Lamprinakos (a.k.a. mrbilll). Good luck in the league. Next up for BBRL is Dover. More info here.

001009 SHM:s Magnus Hagström to debut in the European Cup this weekend
Magnus Hagström has now applied for membership in the ENC and is most likely to compete at Fontana, California this weekend. We can also present Magnus' first car, an unsponsored Dodge Intrepid. Magnus' profile is here. Volker Roschansky's Dodge Intrepid will be presented later this week. His profile is here. Read more about this weekends races here.
SHM:s killer trio! From left to right: #7 Magnus Hagström, #75 Anders Sundin and #9 David Holden. Now we
just hope that Volker Roschansky soon will tag along....
001011 Some assistance from the States....
A new driver is about to join the SHM roster. More info will be up as it evolves, but I can reveal that he's from the States, and that he will be driving with us in the ENC. Great to have people of such diverse nationalities with us! Two swedes, one englishman, one german and one american...sounds like we've got half the globe covered.....
This is the largest American flag I could find........
001008 Stefan Lippert dominates in ETS once again
Todays ETS truck race at Evergreen Speedway was dominated totally by Stefan Lippert, who led from start to finish, and also took pole. The fight for the championship remains tight with Helmut Eimann finishing third and SHM:s Anders Sundin 4th. Sundin is now 30 points behind Eimann in the run for the championship. Full story and pics here.

001007 Happy birthday to Magnus, 20 years today!
SHM driver Magnus Hagström celebrates his 20th birthday today! Congratulations! Don't party too hard....
001007 Thomas Rymas wins Las Vegas crash fest
In only his second race in the ENC, Thomas Rymas managed to get to victory lane, after overtaking Erwin Vandikkelen in the last laps of the race. SHM's Anders Sundin finished 6th, but chose a not so good pit strategy - only one stop. Sadly the race was overcast by incidents and caution periods, messing up at least the first half of the race. A lot of drivers decided to quit, and only about 10 finished the event. Championship leader Helmut Eimann got booted along with some others and will have a hard time to battle Hendrik Gerhardt now, Hendrik being a very good road course driver. Full story and pics here.
Thomas Rymas won today's Las Vegas race driving this very nice Ford Taurus
Sunday 11.40 : ETS truck race at Pikes Peak
A clean race today at Pikes Peak ended up with Joris van der Westen taking his first win in his first race in the ETS. A really solid performance, he also had pole postition, ahead of Anders Sundin. 2nd was ETS leader Helmut Eimann, ahead of Erwin Vandikkelen, Sundin and Juergen Buechner. Only one yellow was handed out, and as usual it happened on the very first lap. Some patience needed from some competitors perhaps... Juergen Buechner and Anders Sundin had a small collision which led to some damage for the latter, who struggled to keep up with the pace set by the frontrunners. Hendrik Gerhardt got booted from todays race, along with a couple of other guys. This is getting to be the standard in ETS races, which is a shame. Anyhow, it was only the discos that allowed SMS to finish in 4th position today, so everything has an up and a downside! ;)
Here's the eye candy:
Looks like Erwin Vandikkelen's been doing to many Stefan Lippert, winner at Gateway last week, spins
rally sims lately... Juergen Buechner in the #25 truck out and quits the race. #16 Tom Bleicher didn't finish
escapes with some nice looking front damage... either
If you scrub the wall like this, you don't win.... Erwin Vandikkelen passes Anders Sundin on the
outside. Oh, well......
Saturday September 30th 03.00: BBRL race at Talladega
As usual with the BBRL most drivers enjoyed a very clean and fun race, although big boys Shawn Fisher and Steve Huber had some bad luck. Tim Rosseno, driving his very first race in the BBRL, made an instant impression by winning the race by quite a large margin. He crossed the finish line drafting with Shawn Fisher, who was off the lead lap. 2nd was Scott Hovanec, 3rd Ken McCreary, recording his best finish to date, and 4th Jim Trucker. SMS driver Anders Sundin had a pretty good race and was able to finish 5th after Steve Huber had received a black flag for speeding in the pits. It could have been much worse since the trio of Sundin, Bart Long and Johney Williams lost contact with the lead group, and had some troubles agreeing on how to draft effectively.... Roger Wilco was used for the first time during a points race, and that certainly adds a new dimension to online racing. Way cool! Enjoy some pics from the action:

Saturday September 30th 11.00: EC race at Bristol
The EC race at Bristol today offered unexpectedly few cautions and was overall a pretty clean race. Norwegian Arve Svenning displayed incredible dominance, getting pole, setting fastest lap and leading all laps of the race! Helmut Eimann's slump continues as he failed to finish today, while Hendrik Gerhardt's hot streak looks like it will never end. He finished 2nd today, ahead of Julien Millour, Patrick Lowyck and Thomas Rymas, who recorded a great 5th in his first EC race. Bad day for SMS though, Anders Sundin was held back by several incidents and was lapped countless times by Svenning to finish 9th. Arve Svenning's best lap of over 127mph will be something to try to beat for the next time the league stops at Bristol! I doubt it is possible though.... Here's a little gallery from today's racing action:

001006 Track Guide for Lowe's Motor Speedway
Dave Holden, a previous points race winner at Lowe's, has provided a guide to the track. You can find it here.
001006 Official ENC practice interrupted due to bad connections
Todays official practice for the Millenium Collectibles race at Las Vegas was interrupted because some drivers experienced bad connections. However SHM's Anders Sundin set the fastest lap at practice with an average speed of 167.936 mph using a mr Ford setup. David Holden has also been turning in laps in the 167-168 mph span, and is likely to be competitive in the race. SHM will race Dodges, and David Holden has provided Sundin with a brand new car, which is a slight makeover of Rockhound's excellent Shell Chevy.

The 20-year old from Stockholm will not likely be able to participate in the Millenium Collectibles at Las Vegas this weekend, but expect to see him on track at next weeks race at Fontana, California. View Magnus' profile here More detailed profile and car pic later.
001004 David Holden unlucky in season's last ERL race

001004 It's official! Volker Roschansky is now a member of Sundin/Holden Motorsports
German driver Volker Roschansky will be competing in the GPLRL for SHM Racing Team, alongside Anders Sundin. Unfortunately he won't be able to participate in the ENC due to lack of time. He will be driving a Lotus, the car that was driven by legends like Jim Clark and Ronnie Peterson. See Volkers profile here. GPLRL is still accepting drivers, especially rookies at GPL are welcome. Sharon Cullen wins official ENC practice race at Bristol
Some of the ENC drivers showed up for a little practice race tonight, and although Helmut Eimann led the 75 lap race for many laps, Sharon Cullen could snatch the win. A couple of new drivers showed up. Michael Berk, Daan Schuuring and Thomas Rymas will hopefully all show up in tomorrows points event as well. Anders Sundin had an encounter with Schuuring, and finished lots of laps down, although he turned in the fastest lap at practice with a 124.920mph lap. Rymas and Berk immediately showed they wanted to be competitive in this league by qualifying 1st and 2nd. Get ready to rumble tomorrow!

Saturday September 23rd 11.00: ENC race at Michigan
The ENC race at Michigan was an unbelievably clean and fair race, which resulted in only one(!) yellow being handed out, and this happened on the first of the 124 laps. About 120 laps of green is pretty good, right? After lots of drama Hendrik Gerhardt could overtake Erwin Vandikkelen on the last lap in the last turn to take his first win of the series. Third was Mark Redford ahead of Patrick Lowyck and Steven Van der Meiren. That's Lowycks first top 5 finish, and also Van der Meiren's. League leader Helmut Eimann had a bad race and finished three laps down on 11th position. Sundin Motorsports had an avarage day due to some unnecessary mistakes by Anders Sundin. He hit the wall going out of turn two early in the race and drove his first tank of fuel with damage on the front of the car. He worked his way back a little and was able to finish 8th out of the 15 starters. Recording only the 12th fastest lap he proved that a race is more than a bunch of hotlaps.... Enjoy some pics from the race:

Friday September 22nd 19.30: ETS truck race at Gateway
The ETS race at Gateway was a success, with few cautions and lots of track action. Stefan Lippert, who drove his first race in the league took a dominant win, getting pole and setting the fastest lap of the race, as well as leading most laps. The fight for 2nd was really tight with bumper to bumper action from Anders Sundin and Helmut Eimann in the last part of the race. Eimann could take 2nd less than a second in front of Sundin. But since Sundin led a couple of laps they both ended up getting 170 points for the race. Eimann is now the new ETS leader, and is currently leading both the ENC series. Sundin is 10 points behind at 2nd place in the ETS. Substitute driver of Hendrik Gerhardts #19 Dodge truck, Nick Schreger, made a great debut to finish 4th. Steve Claeys was 5th. A couple of drivers, among them Tommy Groesser and Juergen Buechner suffered from bad connections and was unable to finish the race. This is a shame, and makes the discussions about a change of race day even more urgent. It's great to score podium finishes, but not when it's due to some people having trouble with their connections. But all in all, a good day for Sundin Motorsports, and a great day for Stefan Lippert! Congratulations on the first win! But I'm sure it's not the last.....

Stefan Lippert passes Anders Sundin on the OUTSIDE! Shows how much faster
this guy really was... Second and last lead change of the race.
Hmmm...I might be running a little close to you Helmut....sorry!

exciting battles so far this season.
Thursday September 21st: Sundin Motorsports website opens up it's garage doors to the public
Enjoy the page, people!
Saturday September 16th 03.00(night):BBRL race at California
Another no race for Sundin Motorsports, the Fontana race was also supposed to have been a good one. Shawn Fisher and Steve Huber had received penalties for arguing at the non points race at Daytona two weeks earlier, and was not allowed to qualify. And that resulted in someone else than one of these two winning a race for the first time of the season! Bill Wigner("Widdy") took his first win this season and broke the winning streak of the webmasters. Grats to Widdy!
Saturday September 16th 11.00:ENC race at Atlanta
No race for Sundin Motorsports, due to personal business... Helmut Eimann won his 4th race of the season, ahead of Hendrik Gerhardt. The race had few yellows and was said to be one of the better of the season.
Friday September 15th 19.30: ETS truck race at Portland
The beautiful and challenging road course of Portland offered a pretty fine race, despite very few actually made it to the start, and even fewer to the finish. Anders Sundin qualified pretty badly but was able to move up past Steve Claeys and ran most of the race in third position, being able to slowly pull away from Helmut Eimann, who also had a bad qual. Hendrik Gerhardt, the pole man, and Erwin Vandikkelen dominated the race totally with lap speeds 4-5 mph faster than the rest of the pack. Vandikkelen had a strong lead when he blew his engine and caused the first yellow of the race. Unfortunately this happened at the exact time that Sundin was about to drive out of the pits, and for a moment his concentration snapped and he mashed the throttle receiving a black flag. Eimann could pass to finish second, but Sundin hung on to a decent third. Again Hendrik Gerhardt took home the win in an impressive way, and the top three was exactly the same as in the seasons first race at Mesa Marin. 4th was top rookie Frank Kotzahn and Erwin Vandikkelen was able to get 5th, due to Steve Claeys giving up the race.
Welcome to the Sundin Motorsports web site. So far the only member of this sim racing team is yours truly, Anders Sundin, the webmaster. Feel free to apply for membership. The only requirements are being a clean and fair driver and a gentleman(or woman) and of course having a great dedication to racing sims(And if you're in the ENC you must run a Chevy). Currently I compete in two Nascar3 car leagues and one truck league. I'm also thinking of joining a GPL league, if I can find the time. Please note: This is a Team site, if you're interested in joining one or more of the leagues I run in, go to the links page and go to the European Nascar Cup or BBRL. These leagues usually accept new members, and I recommend them both. At the ENC site you can also find the European Truck Series, which currently needs more drivers......
