    Here is a site that also has strictly internet related software. Several great links are at the bottom of the page.

    Probably the largest and most well known site to download at. The new files and file categories help to make it a great site.

  • Shareware
    This is a old standing site that has a shareware library to search in. A "What's New" and "What's Hot are a nice touch at this site.

  • Tech Web
    Here you can search for Mac software and check out the top rated downloads. You can also search news and tech web services here.

  • Shareware + Freeware
    This is a great site to get descriptions of free programs for Mac users.

  • Share the Mac
    This is a shareware site run by "Share the Mac users group. A great archives section rounds this site out.

  • Chez Mark
    This is a site that has shareware picks and a great interface. You'll also find news reviews, and links.

  • File Dudes
    This is a nice change in format for a site to use for downloading software. First you select a mirror site closest to you, then select a category and file dude gives you a rating of the software.

  • Beyond.com
    This site has over 2,000 software titles in 11 categories, along with weekly specials and customer ratings.

  • Mac Ware on Erechwon
    This site has freeware and shareware for the Mac and Newton. The application is also reviewed and has notes explaining the content.

  • Oddities and Rarities for Mac
    This is a nice freeware site with some hard to find stuff. Great site with plenty of unusual titles.

  • Macintosh Freeware
    A really great site of freeware for the Mac. I spent some time here exploring the site.
    • Soft ware Catalog
      This collection of software has ratings and a helpful system of directories.

    • Internet Freeware.com
      This site has a huge collection of software with ratings and also lists the top 25 titles.

    • Kids Domain Mac Download
      A huge collection for children, divided up nicely by age.

    • AMUG
      The BBS in a in a Box Archive, complete with descriptions and links to files on the AMUG CD series. Available on CD-ROM as well as Registered ftp access. Search the BBS in a box or just view the resent menu.

    • File Mine
      An old favorite with Mac downloads. Probably the best interface of the whole lot.

    • TuCows
      A vast collection and very nicely categorized. The site is probably the best indexed and the most "Yahoo" like.

    • Filez
      A site with mega files and a search engine. The site features 75 million files and a archive as well.

    • Newest Files on Apples FTP Sites
      This is Apples newest additions to the Apple Software Updates Archive

    • Macshare.com
      A site with comments and reccomendations --- very well done. You'll also find Mac tips and Mac references at this site.

    • Pure Mac
      A very nice site, well organized with great descriptions and information. You'll be impressed by the orginization here, with updates as well.

    • John Norstads Programs
      Free programs to include Disinfectant, Newswatcher, and eight others.

    • Soft Watcher Mac
      A huge site where you can search the software library with Sherlock.

    • Version Master
      A Mac software locator and the latest Mac updates. The 25 most popular software titles (click on FAQ) is very interesting --- check it out to see if you have those titles!!!
