What's this thing called PSP?

I pondered and I wondered...

I hit this key and that key...

Oh gosh how I blundered!

It scared me to death

the things what were in there,

the tools were all taunting...

Click on me if you dare!

I clicked on the browser

and things went a'flyin...

scared me to death

and left me a'cryin!

I hit the wrong key and

the toolbar went 'Poof!'

I thought "Oh my goodness,

did I ever goof!"

It said 'open an image' an image?

What could that be?

This button, that button...

This thing's a'pickin on me!!

But the more I went in there

and the more things I tried,

I no longer feared it,

I no longer cried.

I learned it and learned it

and learned it some more,

Now the rest of my life

I just plain ignore!

So don't bother callin

I won't answer the phone...

I'm a PSP'er....

Just leave me alone!!!

I'd had a rough few weeks, the program I used to build Thisildo Realm developed a glitch. I wasn't able to access the working copy at all. The only way out was to delete the whole thing and start over from scratch. Bummer. I didn't realize how much I had done until it came time to do it again!

Well... because I have precious little patience and really dislike having to do things over (hence the abhorrence of housework!), the rebuilding of The Realm took on the appearance of a J.O.B. and several times I came close to chucking the whole thing and walking away.

hmmm... obviously, that never happened, but I did a considerable amount of whining and grumbling while I attacked the reconstruction :o) and decided I deserved a special treat for all this effort. Chocolate just wasn't gonna be enough!

My special treat was going to be Paint Shop Pro 7. When I finally published the "new" Thisildo Realm, I headed straight for http://www.jasc.com and put in my order!

The mailman brought the package to my door on Valentine's Day 2002 (pretty cool!). I knew I wasn't going to sit down and create masterpieces right out of the gate, but I really expected to be able to jump right in and create at least something!

With manuals spread out before me and PSP open, juices flowing and anticipation growing, my first "something" is just about the lamest thing you could imagine!

Yes! I saved it! LOL I knew I was gonna do great things with this program and I wanted to keep track of just how far I'd come!

Of course I started grumbling again. This program is insane! Look at all the buttons! Oh for crying out loud! Nutz! Many, many times the frustration was so overwhelming that my only release was to punch the power button on my computer and head for Realm Woods!

I was furious with myself for "not getting it" and although I never actually cried, I came pretty close on more than one occasion! Then along comes Renee! Yay! Renee "says" she's a newbie at this PSP stuff, but methinks she tells a fib! She's got some of the most beautiful creations and can whip up a tut in no time at all -- complete with screen shots!
