GLAMOURS and FANTASIES of the MIND
Glamours, Fantasies of the Mind. A glamour is a Gaelic expression for a Thing Out of Your Imagination. The plains Indians called it a Manitou. For the Himalayans, it is Tallus. In Transalvania, land of were-wolves and vampires, it was an eylak. France had a phrase, le loup-garou, to cover such embodyments of the mind as were-wolves and skinchangers. In Fred's World, glamours are essays, short stories and novels involving science-fiction, mind regression and Things That Go Bump in the Night. It is about thoughts that are composed and scribed while listening to the roll of a different and distant drum. Some are prose and some are poetry, but all are spawned from wild seeds and are blown down a rolling road by a wild wind.

. . . . OF SHIPS and PLANES and CURIOUS THINGS
This is a collection of essays and articles on marine and aeronautical subjects. Here you may find the answer to the question, "Does the Song of the Sea end at the shore or in the hearts of those that listen to it?"Curious things are drawn from a variety of other subjects. These can be be anything from a study of Panamian stamps to the ideosyncrasies of Australia's small marsupials or strange new discoveries in Guatamala. Political statements? They can be found here, too. That is certainly a curious thing - and strange, too.
