Warrior, conjurer, lover and friend.
A woman of talent and mystery. A woman whose private life is cast in
shadows. A woman who stands publicly for the defense and protection
of the land that she loves. Sister of Eric, Caine and Corwin,
daughter of Faiella and Oberon she is as strong and as competent as
her brothers, but with a streak of kindness that often belittles her
siblings. Not that she wouldn't take opportunity if it was presented
to her. Here have I gathered some logs of Dee's play so far. She is
caught in Amber under the shadow of her brother Eric, whom she must
support or be ostracized and perhaps imprisoned. She has the people
that she brought to Amber to think about, and must play her cards
carefully, or those of House Feleven, the Slayers of the Dhaemyr will
pay the price.
Upon Sacha's death, Deirdre campaigned for the first male ruler of Feleven. Allyn was more than capable and the only sibling of Sacha's capable of rule as there were no other females. Most people knew that Allyn was in Deirdre's pocket, and if he was made ruler, nothing would change. When he died, the land of Darkridge would pass into the hands of Sacha's daughter Talis. The people did not dispute Deirdre's desires, and Allyn was crowned King of Darkridge thus breaking a long tradition of matriarchal rule. It is important to note that for some reason, the people of Darkridge age less than normal humans. No one knows why this is, only that its a strange phenomenon that didn't previously occur in the land that these humans originated from.
Devon ~~ Age : 36 Not darkskinned like the others, Devon is different. About him is a determination to survive, no matter what happens. A warrior, an officer, and a gentleman, Devon is Captain of the House Feleven Guard in Amber.
Griffin ~~ Age : 20 Griffin is Isolde's younger brother, and son of Allyn, Sacha's brother. A mage and scholar he's a knowledge sponge. Griffin, though young, and impressionable still he strives for attention.
Isolde ~~ Age : 46 Lady of the House, Isolde is the daughter of Deirdre's late and trusted friend Lady Sacha Feleven's brother. Deirdre brought Isolde to Amber from her home in the shadow called Darkridge. Strong, domineering and capable, Isolde rules the house as though she was bred to be a Queen. Intelligence and beauty mixed up into a volatile package.
Joseph ~~ Age : 23 Joseph is the son of Laorin, one of Lady Sacha's sons. He lived most of his adult life in the wilds of Darkridge, with a band of men where he developed a strong backbone and a chip on his shoulder. Rebellious and relying on sarcasm to show that he doesn't care as much as he does, Joseph tries to pretend that the indifference of his cousins doesn't bother him.
Ngana ~~ Age : 108 (appears : 30 something) A tall dark skinned aging warrior turned butler/caretaker. Ngana is one of the House's most trusted male members. Ngana is Sacha's youngest brother who was wounded in battle against the Dhaemyr of Darkridge. He's also seen a lot accompanying Deirdre. The death of his sister affected him as it affected Dee. He is Isolde, Griffin and Joseph's uncle.
Ophelia ~~ Age : 136 (appears : 40 something) Ophelia is the Great Aunt of Isolde, Griffin and Joseph. She is Ngana's cousin. Ophelia has often been old before her time. She bears a great weight upon her shoulders as her father betrayed the House. She was raised with Sacha, Allyn and Ngana, but treated with a wariness which has made her somewhat bitter. She volunteered to go with Deirdre so that she could get away from Darkridge, and finally be treated with respect and to pursue her artistic career.
Neil ~~ Of Omelas Sound Joseph's wanderings brought him to Omelas Sound, trading center and hive of scum and villainy. The market center of Shadow. Here as is his tendency, he found Neil, and brought him home. Neil is now a guest in House Feleven until Deirdre can figure out what to do with him.
Morgan ~~ Of Darkridge (Age 20ish) Morgan stowed away disguising herself as a soldier in the group leaving for Amber, her reasons obscure just yet, its not clear which house in Darkridge she is from, and she's not talking. Or even if she is from the city of Stratuss.
