I have been to the dead sea on one occasion, and I can report that my Psoriasis disappeared completely ! The other thing that I can report is that the psoriasis returned 6 months later on my return to England, but the cost of the trip mysteriously did not.
Joking aside the dead sea really works, and dare I say, almost never fails for any one individual, and this includes psoriatic arthritis. This aside it is EXPENSIVE, but highly recommended if you have lots of money and time, since four weeks or more is generally advised, even though clearance is not uncommon in one to two weeks.
The reason for this name is because almost no multicellular organisms or plants grow, due to the extraordinary high salt and mineral content. The Dead sea has a salinity approximately 10 times that of the Mediterranean Sea.

The water has a high specific weight due to the concentration of minerals, which means "You Float". This is unnerving but great fun.
Of the people that visit the dead sea, in a survey group, nearly 90% were found to have a COMPLETE clearance. The average length of remission was between 3 and 6 months. In other cases remission was anything from 1 to three years, with reports that when the Psoriasis did return, it became less and less after each successive visit.
There are four main clinics which are the Mor Clinic, The Ein Bokek Center, The Galei Zohar Clinic and the International Psoriasis Treatment Center, and generally they all work the same way.
The dead sea is 400 meters below sea level, and the lowest place on the face of the planet, with 330 sunny days per year, with very high air temperatures and a low humidity of about 40%.
The high rate of evaporation in the dead sea area creates a type of haze of gases, which add the natural filtration properties of the earth's atmosphere. This filters several harmful rays from the UV spectrum, resulting in hardly any sun-burn.
The cost of this treatment or should I say Holiday comes in at around 3,000 to 4000 pounds. You can pay more or less than this amount depending on whether you attend the clinics etc, but this is likely to be the price, or near enough. The biggest problem for familly people is leaving the kids etc for this long. For me, this kind of break is unacceptable, but maybee I don't have psoriasis bad enough.
