Invasion Galvanizes World Millennials
by Barry Biddlecomb, Staff Writer

The world-wide invasion by an extraterrestrial race known as the "K'dan" has sparked strong resistance efforts by Millennials around the world.

A group of British Millennials successfully defeated a pair of giant armored battlesuits that have been called mecha. The mecha were converging on London when the Millennials attacked. Tragically, the united Millennials were killed when eight more mecha converged on them.

The Russian Knights also successfully turned back a force of K'dan aircraft that were attacking a naval base on the Baltic. They survived an attack by K'dan mecha, but were forced to retreat from the base. The base was destroyed, but the Russian Knights were able to stall the attack long enough for the base to be evacuated.

Closer to home, the Southern Knights also turned back an attack at a farm in eastern Gwinnett County. Although the Knights arrived too late to save many of the police and sheriff's deputies, the combined force of Knights and FDICOP officers routed the K'dan infantry and air forces, making the Battle of Miller's Farm one of the bright spots in the Human resistance against the K'dan.

The Futurians, fresh from a battle with the Southern Knights, were spotted in Belarus fighting a force of K'dan mecha. Reportedly the entire K'dan force was brutally slain by the Futurians.

Washington, New York City, Los Angeles, and other major cities have suffered major damage as the K'dan have swept across the world. The advantages of the high ground as well as a higher level of technology have proven decisive. Only the United States has managed to hold or defeat the K'dan forces on its soil using Human forces. A significant disadvantage of the Human tactics is a lack of understanding of the goals of the K'dan. The attacks, according to experts, seem designed to promote conflict and combat rather than having any particular goal. It would seem to be a dark day for humanity.

Australians Explore Undersea Abyss
Scientists to Uncover Mysteries of Massive Underwater Canyons

SYDNEY, Australia -- Scientists are about to discover some of the secrets they believe lay thousands of metres below sea level in an underwater canyon system. The canyons are bigger than the Grand Canyon and lie south of Kangaroo Island in the Great Australian Bight.

Scientists from the Oceans Office, Geoscience Australia, The Australian National University and the South Australian Research and Development Institute will sample and map the area on a voyage that leaves from Hobart tomorrow.

Chief scientist with the Oceans Office, Campbell Davies, says little is known about the massive canyon system. "We're interested in understanding how important they are in the biology and ecosystems off southern Australia as they are quite a unique feature that we know very little about," he said.

There are 4 million stories in the big city. The stories you have just read are false. Complete rubbish. That's right ... We made them up. Any similarity between what you see here and any wisp of what you call "reality" is coincidence peppered with literary license.
