My dog Bucky
died at age 8 of heart worms we didn't realize it until one day
we were all outside and I noticed he was moping around and not acting
himself, we thought that he just had a stomach ache because we had
given him
macaroni and cheese we had left over we had put in with his food he
acted
really strange for about a week and then we got the money together to
take
him to the vet that night and we were all frightened for him because
we
didn't know what to expect. When my mom and dad got home later
that evening
we didn't see Bucky with them we were really scared. My mom told
everybody to
sit down and she would tell us the news, she sat down next to me and
said
everybody the vet had said Bucky had a heart worm disease and he was
going to
pass away one way or another by being put down to sleep or
letting him live
his next couple of hours. They said they put him to sleep so he didn't
feel
the pain or suffering. Then I started to break out in tears because I
will
miss my great pal therefore because I grew up with him. But there is
still
one thing I will remember in him that when we moved to North Carolina
my dad
had the dog with him because the family was split up into 3 different
cars
and we all had CBs and he was telling us that Bucky was drinking his
Mountain
Dew and since then we all called him the Mountain Dew sucking dog, I
will
never forget that day when moving up here and how when we lived in
Florida he
used to look through the knot hole at the kids in the neighbor hood
and the
only thing you would see is this eye and nothing else.
Bucky we all miss you and wish you were here now and hope you are
having fun
at the Rainbow Bridge and meet lots of new friends.
Love: Mom, Dad, Grandma, Lindsea, Dusty, and Scotty the Faith family.
