The Raiders are similar to the Warriors in that they have three guys in Grant McNeil, Jordan Clarke and Jon Mirasty who will fight anybody and also have a number of other guys who will show up when the going gets tough. Kyle Bruce, Jon Kress, Scott Hartnell ( if he returns), Connor Lowe and Scott McQueen will all chip in when the need arises which could be often this year as the Raiders appear to be struggling for wins. Raiders fans should witness a few feisty games in the barn this year and other teams better be prepared when they step on the ice against P.A. |
Kyle "Loose cannon" Bruce RW...6'0"...190lbs...03/30/83 This guy is the proverbial "tiger in the tank", never taking a step backward and hits as wildly as Tootoo. Blazer fans are crying in their beer over renting Grant McCune for the rights to this guy for last season. Only a six footer and under two hundred, this guy can battle with the best of 'em, but fares better when fighting his own weight class. |
Grant "The Ant" McNeill D...6'2"...196lbs...06/08/83 Tough, tough youngster, who will no doubt spend the season in our top ten rankings. See "The Mayon Event", east division for more on Grant.
Just about the time he was starting to step it up a notch Baby face decided he wanted out of Portland. Don't know what the cicumstances were but if the change in scenery gets this guy back on his game the Raiders have found themseslves a good one. He showed a little more get up and went last season and this his third in the league should see the huge guy dropping the gloves more often. Was his cheap shot to ultra tough KC Timmons late last year a sign of DeMone figuring out his role or a moment of temporary insanity? We shall see. But with his size, DeMone should be more a a force in the fight game this year.

The Raiders have given up a lot of the toughness they started the season with , but still have the very tough and hard punching seveteen year old Grant McNeil as a legitimate heavyweight. McNeil has been the spotlight and centre of attention for Raider fans this year. Mirasty and Clarke have been dealt to the west division and only James "Babyface" Demone has come back in terms of toughness. Kyle Bruce is a banger who will fight regularly, however he's better off fighting middleweights. Kress, Lillejord and Lowe have shown they will go when need be, but they aren't going to win the Raiders many battles.
