A Little Bit of History
This resort was built in the early 50's , four of the original cottages still exist, and have been remodeled completely, creating a rustic but modern original log cabin experience. The larger unit seen in the bottom picture was built in the 80's it is a two bedroom duplex unit. There are five other cottages, including the serviced trailer sites that were added in the 90's. The outstanding feature of the resort is the location. White Wolf is situated on 12 acres of land that front on Hutchinson lake, giving you all the pleasure of a picturesque vacation destination, however close enough to enjoy the town of Geraldton's shopping, and entertainment convenience. Fish Huchinson Lake or travel only minutes away to over twelve area lakes. Miles of networking logging roads are also close by.
The resort was originally known as (Hutchinson Lake Cabins). Named by the original owner and builder Mr. and Mrs. Gosselin. They certainly knew what they were doing back then in picking this location to establish. They lived here year round, however were only opened in the summer months. There are many American, European, and Canadian visitors who decide to come to this area for their vacation. We still entertain some of their family groups who have returned with their children's children. Our goal is to build on the wonderful concept created by Mr. and Mrs. Gosselin and continue to improve White Wolf to the utmost of its potential. We operate the resort on a year round basis, and snowmobile trails go right to our front door.
We also offer seasonally service trailer sites. For one low price you can have a fully serviced trailer site open for the summer. Never have to worry about hauling your trailer around. Perfect for the Americans who love to visit Canada several weeks at different times during the year. Even better leave your trailer with us for the winter months their is no additional charges, leave it right on the site of your chosing, and you will be all set for the next spring visit. US visitor/Hunters Firearm Registration form- This legislation requires non-resident hunters to register their firearms when entering with a firearm. It requires filling out a form in triplicate prior to arrival at the border and paying the $50.00 fee. do not sign the forms until the inspection officer requires the signature. However you can download them now and have them filled prior to your entrance to Canada.
