Photography can be a lot of fun. There is so much you can do. Land scapes, flowers, children, buildings, special effects. The list goes on and on. You can use sun light, back light, side lights, spot lights, skip light, or even no light.

A building makes a good subject. Watch the sun for some special lighting. Or use normal sun light, like this on of the Eisenhower Chaple in Abilene, Kansas.

Children at play is a challenge. Most of the time they do not even see the camera. Special effects can be used here too. Blur the back ground, blur the subject, get everything crystal clear. After you get the F stop set, all you have to do is focus and shoot. If you can get them to pose for you, play with the light and back grounds. You may be surprised!

It is a good idea to take a camera with you where ever you go. You never know when a picture will present itself. These planes were at the Salina Airport.

Sunsets, ice and snow storm can be breth taking. I used no extra lights or filters on these.

Land scapes are my favorite. This can be the most fun. Like a lone tree on the prairie. No tree in miles but this one. Trees take shapes, they bend and twist. Also they make good shadows to use in other pictures.

News can happen any time, any place, day or night. Local news papers sometime buy pictuers. Be ready!!!

This is the main building of St. John's Military School. It caught fire several times. This time, it did not survivie..... After the fire was out, and the smoke had cleared, the flag still flew in the Kansas breze. Yes St. John's is still here. A new building now stands where the once proud Vail Hall stood.
