IN - HOME
CARE
Aging & Family
Services provides about 5,000 hours monthly of in-home care for
older residents and certain eligible persons over 18 years of
age.
Typically, an In-Home
Care Technician is placed in a client's home after they have been
determined to be eligible. Some services include bathing, grooming,
assistance with walking and moving, toileting, cooking, cleaning,
and shopping.
These services
are offered under guidelines set by the Department of Health and
Human Resources. A Case Manager and a Registered Nurse develop
and document the type of care provided.
- Home based care
for individuals over age 18
- Program supervised
by Registered Nurse, support provided by a trained In-Home Service
Technician
- Agency handles
all personnel issues such as recruiting, training, hiring, placement
and firing of workers and is responsible for all related payroll
taxes
- Services can
be provided short term or long term and can be provided for up
to 24 hours per day
- Alternative to
the high cost of nursing home care
