Backdraft Barbecue, 1016 NW Woods Chapel Road, Blue Springs - If the Colonel did ribs and had this recipe, he'd have been a general!  Not only are the ribs fantastic, so is the sliced beef, baked beans, and potato salad!  In fact, the potato salad (no offense, Mom) is the best I've ever had.  I'll sample more of the menu in future visits.  You can go to their website and print the menu for a coupon.  Get caught in the Backdraft!

Joe's Crab Shack, 119th & Strangline, Olathe - Great food, fun atmosphere, and excellent service.  Reasonably priced and usually packed!  Staff dances in the aisles, ala Lone Star, every 15 or 20 minutes.  Wait can be 1 to 2 hours, but the drinks are stiff and there is plenty of "entertainment" to keep you occupied.

Outback Steakhouse, I-29 & NW Barry Rd.  -  Lives up to reputation of the chain, very friendly atmosphere, very good food.  Tends to be very busy on the weekend, takes about an hour to be seated.

Lone Star Steakhouse and Saloon, I-29 & NW Barry Rd.  -  Have only been there once, but it wasn't as lively as others in the chain I have frequented.  Food was good, staff was friendly.  Also tends to be very busy on the weekend, with an hour or so wait to be seated.

On The Border, I-29 & NW Barry Rd.  -  Good variety of traditional and specialized Mexican dishes.  Service was excellent.  Reasonably priced.

Night Clubs
Stanford and Sons Comedy Club - Decent food, strong drinks, and excellent comedy make for a fun night.  Check out the Monday Mix Alternative night for a real adventure!  It's only five bucks to get in and it is a blast.  (Not for the easily offended!)
 

Roadhouse Rubys South, Olathe  -  Pretty good sized room, strong drinks.  Parking can be an adventure, advise getting there early for major acts.
 

Other Entertainment Venues
Worlds of Fun - A little pricy , but worth it.  Fun rides, long lines, screaming kids, and overpriced souvenirs!!!

Atlanta, GA - The Crab House  -  Fantastic!  Huge servings, great food, friendly staff.  Highly recommended.

Houston, TX - Saltgrass Steakhouse  -  Very reasonable prices, friendly staff.  Steaks are pretty spicy, but very good.

Glendale, CA - Rusty Pelican  - If seafood is what you have a hankering for, this is the place!  A little pricy, but worth it.
Beverly Hills, CA - Lawry's Prime Rib - Legendary and lives up to its reputation.  Very pricy, but worth every penny.

Clearwater, FL - Guppy's on the Beach - Belleair Beach - Another seafood haven, great atmosphere, staff, and very good food!

Chicago, IL - Adam's Rib - Famous, looks like a dive, food is absolutely great!
Chicago, IL - Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon - (North suburbs, on Army Trail Rd.) The best Lone Star location I have experienced.  A lot of fun, as well as great food.
