Well, it had to happen sooner or later... Justin has wanted to go fishing for quite some time.... I mean, he is almost three...well in four months anyway.  He even enjoys the fishing shows on Saturday morning television.

John stopped by and picked up Don, Mike, Will, and Justin in the early afternoon. Then we made a run up to his house to pick up the boat.  Then we were off to put her in the water - into the Chesapeake Bay.

Justin was very good about obeying the rules and being careful as we got the boat afloat and the truck and trailer parked up in the yard.   He was being kind of quiet, but very observant.

I guess all the new stuff going on around him kept his mind pretty busy, but as we got out into the bay you could see the excitement building.   We had a beautiful day to be out.... Sunny, but not too hot..(except under that life vest!). There was a steady light breeze, but the water surface was as smooth as I ever remember seeing it.

We stopped over a sandy  shallow near the eastern shore of the Bay, several miles south of the Bay Bridge.  It didn't take long... No sooner did Justin get a line in the water then he got that first bite of the day.
