Stuff to Know

Before You Start...
I have created this web site in mind with a specific text size. I recommend the medium setting on your web browser. To change the text size, go up to the menu bar and click on View, then scroll down to Text Size. It will have a little arrow next to it. Choose Medium. A little dot will show up next to your current setting.

I use various abbreviations throughout this guide. Here are some of them:
HP - Hit Points
MP - Magic Points
EXP - Experience Points
AP - Ability Points
GP - Gold Points, Gold Saucer cash (not gil)
FMV - Full Motion Video
a.k.a. - Also Known As

Also, I tend to switch references when talking about directions. North, South, East, and West are the same as Up, Down, Left, and Right. When Up or Down does not refer to a ladder, it means North or South.
When a section lists the stuff that can be found, these are either laying out in the open, in chests, or by other extraordinary circumstances. These are not gotten by buying them at a shop or defeating a boss (on the Items Recieved screen). Also, this list does not include Key Items.

Since this is the HTML version, there are a few things to know:
All items are marked in white.
Key items are marked in pink.
All magic and materia are marked in their own colors; Spell, Command, Support, Summon, and Independent.
The bosses and items found in each area are in tables and are clearly marked off with the ITEMS and BOSS banners.

Also, when I talk about things to say to Aeris, they imply that you want her as your girlfriend through the game. If you don't, be mean to her (but I honestly don't know how you could...)

Lastly, this is NOT a FAQ. I hate it when people call these things FAQs. It makes it sound like all the file does is answer a few Frequently Asked Questions. I mean, come on, people! I'm gonna tell you how to get through the whole game!
