My Trip to Japan

Right after my experience in Kagoshima, I started my trip in Japan. I think it is something very different from that I have experienced in Kagoshima. Kagoshima is too much like a heaven in the sense that people are too nice and life is too comfortable. As a student of Hong Kong, I think I have got used to the challenging form of life I have in Hong Kong. So I was really excited from the day I left Kagoshima.

Of course it was also somehow sad that I have to leave my host family, two weeks is hardly enough. Anyway, at 29th July, I started leaving Kagoshima. The trip lasted for ten days and these tens days are filled with lots of unforgetable memories. We have waited for one of our friends at the train station for 4 hours, we have slept on the train for two consequentive nights, and for sure, we have a lot of fun in different places in Japan.

We didn't have much time so the schedule was very tight. We first reached Nagasaki, staying a day in Huis Temples(Holland Village), and then took a night train to Osaka. We spent two days in Osaka, Nara and Kyoto, then headed for Fujisan. It was a pity that it was too foggy that we could not see the Fujisan. Anyway we had a good time at the Fujikyu Highland. We spent two days on Fujisan and our last palce was Tokyo.

Tokyo is the most memorable place. In fact, one of the motivations which drove me to join in the trip to Japan was that I missed the friends I knew in the Keio University Exchange Program last year. I wanted to meet them so much that I went to Japan to visit them. As soon as we arrived at Fujisan, I phoned one of the Keio students. I was too surprised that his mother was so nice to me, telling me that we were always mentioned in her home, telling me how much her son missed us. I was too touched. Then, we finally met in Harajuku. We didn't expect that we can meet all of our friends. After all a year has passed and I was not sure whether they still missed us or not. But it is to our astonishment that they all want to see us very much. After the day in Harajuku, we went to Disneyland with four of the Keio students! And the day after that day, we went to one of the Keio student's home and had dinner there. It was this night when all seven of the Keio students gathered. After a year, nothing seemed to have changed. We talked, we ate, we drank just like old friends. I knew that nothing is going to change in the future. We will always be great friends.

Leaving them was a tough task. I think all of us did not want to leave. Nevertheless we have our obligations and friends and Hong kong and leaving was inevitable. We all wept in the platform of the train station. I really wish that next year we can meet again.
