Born as Freedyan, he was the oldest child of four to a good family in a prosperous Seahold. He took up his father's trade a bit more enthusiastically than his younger brother, who truly wanted to be a glass-smith. He's always been very strong and muscular, but isn't the smartest on Pern. He's not stupid though, and is fairly good with maths. He's always been a helpful child, and taken great pains to keep everyone in his family happy.
