Chief Instructor of the Bello
Horizonte Ki Society, Brasil
Keen Sensei actually started her Aikido training
at the famous Tamalpias Aikido Dojo of the Aikikai. When she relocated
back to Boulder from California she found Kashiwaya
Sensei and decided that Ki-Aikido was the way for her.
She spent 2 years as a Uchi Deshi to Kashiwaya Sensei and her Deshi
coincided with her now husband Russell Jones Sensei. However, after
her Deshi training she would become a certified Rolfer and later a certified
Rolfing Instructor. She then moved to Brasil, founding the Bello Horizonte Ki
Society and where she has lived 1986, making regular
trips back to the US to teach both Rolfing and Ki-Aikido. Reunited
with Jones Sensei 2 years ago, they married and
are now living in Floranopolis, Brasil. They will continue to come
to the US and teach Ki Development and Ki-Aikido and I strongly recommend
training with her and of course Jones Sensei. Keen Sensei is Yon
Dan (4th degree black belt) in Ki-Aikido and Chuden in Ki Development.
If anyone has ever doubted if women, particularly petite women, can actually
be effective with this art, an hour on the mat with Keen Sensei with abolish
all doubt.
