   Soledad was Alfredo's secretary and they were secretly married. Nothing knew about their marriage because
Valeria, Alfredo's sister is not in favor of Soledad Romero because she's just a poor woman so they decided to
keep it from everyone else. Then, Alfredo's brother-in-law, Jose Fernando ( Fernando Jose's Father ), a womanizer, wanted to have Soledad Romero for himself. So he tried to kidnap and and rape Soledad but
Alfredo ran after them which ended up to a very traggic event ( Alfredo shot Fernando Jose's Father twice at the back as he tries to save Soledad ).

    Soledad was convicted for the crime her husband did and was imprisoned for 20 years. She didn't know that she was already pregnant with Rosalinda when she was imprisoned.  She didn't even tell Alfredo about it. When she gave birth, her sister visited her  in jail and told her that her child died because of sickness and she didn't know how to tell her husband. So Soledad decided to give her daughter to her sister as a replacement to the child who died.

  Then twenty years later, Rosalinda grew up into a very pretty woman and Fernando Jose into a handsome young man. Rosalinda loves flowers so much and so she worked into a flower shop owned by Florentino. They met outside Gerardo's restaurant where Rosalinda brings flowers to arrange and Fernando Jose works as a part time musician who plays the piano during the night.

  Soledad got out of prison after 20 years and this is when all the trouble began. Rosalinda and Fernando Jose decided to get married and after a year, their daughter was born and they named her Erika. Valeria, Fernando Jose's mom took her revenge by telling Fernando Jose who Aunt Martha really is, that she's Soledad and that she's the one who killed his father.  Fernando Jose got very mad and he was shouting at Soledad.  He said that she doesn't love Rosalinda and their daughter anymore.

  Rosalinda got confused and was asking her aunt why Fernando Jose is yelling but Soledad didn't want her to go out so she stayed in the room. Fernando Jose left and Soledad ran after him as she was trying to make him stay at Rosalinda's side. Valeria was not satisfied with what she did and so she told Rosalinda who her real parents were and then she fainted. Valeria took Erika and left. When she woke up, her daughter was gone and she doesn't know where to find her. She tried to look for her but she wasn't able to find her and because of this, she went crazy.

  Fernando Jose realized that he was wrong and so he ask for forgiveness from Rosalinda but she can't comprehend anymore. He brought her into a mental institution. The mental institution is accidentaly burned by another mental patient and they thought that Rosalinda was dead. Fernando Jose can't accept what happened and so he decided to leave the country to study music. He left her daughter to Soledad but Valeria took her away.

  Rosalinda wandered upon the streets and was found by a beggar named Miserias, this beggar calledher Paloma  since Rosalinda cannot remember her name.  This beggar was a bad person and taught her how to steal. One day Paloma went in a rich man's house to steal but unfortunately, she was caught by the owner of the house which was Alex Durantes, the talent scout.

   Fedra, Rosalinda's ambitious and social climber cousin took care of Rosalonda's daughter until Fernando Jose came back from studying music. Fernando Jose became a very popular pianist. Fedra would do everything just to get what she wants, like being Fernando Jose's wife so she can buy whatever she wants because Fernando Jose is rich.  Fedra broke up with her boyrfriend Annibal, which happens to be Lucy's true love.  Luckily, Annibal realized that it was Lucy who deserves his love and so he asked her to marry him.

    Alex helped Paloma to get well. When Paloma was getting well, Alex decided to make her a star.   He made her a singer since she have a very beautiful voice, but Paloma still doesn't know who she really is. One day Fernando Jose saw Paloma in a Cafe'. Fernando Jose approached Paloma and talked with her.  He told her that she looked like someone he knew, the only woman Fernando Jose loved. Then for the second time around, they started to go out and fell in love with each other again. But Paloma couldn't commit to Fernando Jose because of so many reasons.

    Months later, Lucy found out that she can't bear a child. She was very frustrated and she doesn't know how to tell Annibal about it. She went to several doctors but their opinions and findings are one and the same.

    Everybody watched Paloma perform on t.v. everybody who knew her were saying that she really looks like Rosalinda.

  Paloma is becoming a singing sensation, she left Fernando Jose for a concert tour with Alex without even telling him that she's leaving or where she's going.  Fernando Jose  was hurt by the thought that Paloma left with Alex and became so desperate, so he decided to marry Fedra even if he doesn't love her.   While  Paloma is on tour she realized that she loved Fernando Jose but when she came back to tell him how much she loves him,  she found out that Fernando Jose already got married. She got really hurt by this and so she decided to marry Alex.

  One night in Fernando Jose's piano concert, Paloma and Alex came to watch because Fedra sent them free tickets. As Fernando Jose was playing the song which he composed for Rosalinda, Paloma's memory came back. She got confused and so she hurriedly ran out of the concert hall and was bumped by a car.  Alex called Fedra to tell her about what happened. Fedra, hopeful that Paloma will die,  told Fernando Jose that Rosalinda is still alive, that Paloma is Rosalinda but she is in critical condition because of an accident. Fernando Jose hurriedly went to the hospital to see Rosalinda but she is still unconscious.

    When Rosalinda woke up, she saw Soledad and called her Mamma. Soledad couldn't believe it and burst into tears. Rosalinda told her mother that she doesn't want to see Fernando Jose. Rosalinda told Soledad that she has a scar in her right cheek which was caused by the accident. She told her not to tell Fernando Jose about it.

  Rosalinda finally decided have a talk with Fernando Jose.  Fernando Jose came and they talked. Rosalinda's heart was filled with so much  pain and anger and so she did not accept Fernando Jose's offer for them to be together again.  She also told him that she loves Alex even if its not true and that she's be marrying him. Fernando Jose left the room crying and desperate.

  Fedra becoming too desperate to keep Fernando Jose, told him she was pregnant hoping that she really was but when she went to the doctor for her checkup, she found out that she wasn't pregnant.  She had to find a way in order to get pregnant so Fernando Jose will not leave her. She thought of seducing Annibal since Fernando Jose doesn't want to sleep with her anymore.

  Aflredo died, but he was able to tell Valeria about what really happened twenty years ago. He told her that he was the one who killed Jose Fernando and not Soledad but Valeria wasn't convinced that it's true. Alfredo died right after he told Rosalinda what really happened.

  Rosalinda went to Fernando Jose's house to visit her daughter.  Fernando Jose arrived too and they talked.  Fernando Jose told her that he won't let Erika to be taken away from him. Alex tried to convince Rosalinda that something happened between them but Rosalinda insists that it never happened. Meanwhile, Valeria  decided not to give Soledad and Rosalinda's part of Alfredo's estate.

    Fedra went to the hospital to get her laboratory results and so did Rosalinda. But because they use the same surname, their lab results were accidentally switched by the nurse.  When Rosalinda read the results she thought that she was the one who's dying.  So when Fernando Jose came, she made him believe that she doesn't love him anymore in order to save him from experiencing more pain if she dies.

  Rosalinda decided to spend ther remaining days of her life by performing again but not as Paloma but as Rosalinda.  She chose not to get custody for Erika because she thought that it would be better if Erika grows up with a so called family with Fedra, Fernando Jose and their coming baby.

  Fedra succeeded in seducing Annibal and so she got pregnant.  While Florentino, persevered to find a way in order to punish Valeria because she doesn't want to give Soledad and Rosalinda's inheritance from Alfredo's estate.  Bertha agreed to help him out since she got mad at Valeria for treating her so badly despite her loyalty to her.

   Bertha gave Florentino a picture of Fernando Jose's mother. He looked for her everywhere and luckily she found her. Veronica Altamirano is still alive, the real wife of Fernando Jose's dad,  who was believed to be dead by everybody and even by her own son, Fernando Jose. She was always drunk and she was very dirty . What Valeria did to her in the past was very mean.  Valeria made up stories about her stealing some money, and so she went away and left Fernando Jose, her son,  because she was afraid that she will be sent into jail even if she's innocent. Valeria and  Jose Fernando made everybody believe that Veronica was dead.

    Fernando Jose got angry with Rosalinda when he found out that Rosalinda is performing at the Blanquita Theater with very revealing costumes. And plus the fact that Rosalinda chose to be away from her daughter and Fernando Jose, this resulted into Fernando Jose's filing of their divorce.

    A popular female singer invited Rosalinda to have dinner and this singer happened to be one of Fernando Jose's friends in showbusiness.  The female singer brought Rosalinda to Fernando Jose's restaurant.  While the singer was singing, Fernando Jose went to Rosalinda's table and talked to her but he also left after a couple of minutes.

     Veronica was encouraged by Florentino to show up and so she did.  Veronica went to Valeria's house and told her that she wanted to see her son, Fernando Jose but Valeria told her that Fernando Jose would never want to see her because of her appearance and present status in life. But even if Veronica doesn't really care about money, she is still the legal wife of Jose Fernando and so she is entitled to whatever wealth he has left.

  Fedra went to Lucy and Annibal's house to tell Annibal that she is pregnant and that he is the father. Annibal told her that it cannot be. Fedra told him that she made Fernando Jose believe that the child she's carrying is his son. But Fedra assured Annibal that it is indeed his child.

  Valeria killed Miserias, Abril's father to keep him silent forever.  Valeria and Beto were having an affair. While Veronica, hoping that she will somehow get  a glimpse of her son was waiting outside the Altamirano Mansion. Luckily she was able to  talk with her son, Fernando Jose.

  Fedra is in need of another helper so she posted an advertisement in a newspaper about it.  Veronica and Florentino took advantage of this.  Veronica cleaned herself up,  applied for the job but Fedra decided to go for Georgina, the other applicant.  Fernando Jose pitied on her and so he hired her to work even if Fedra already hired somebody else. Meanwhile, Rosalinda is very desperate to see her daughter, she went to Fernando Jose's restaurant to ask permission for her to see Erika. Fernando Jose told her that she can never see Erika again.

   Fernando Jose went to Rosalinda's house to talk to her about them getting back together.  He ask forgiveness for everything that he has said and done. He told Rosalinda to give up her singing career and be a wife and a mother to him and Erika but Rosalinda did not agree because she thought he would only suffer if she dies. Natalia and Gerardo are getting closer but Alex thought it was a betrayal of Natalia's friendship with him because Gerardo is Fernando Jose's bestfriend.  Alex went to Fernando Jose's restaurant and told him to back off from Rosalinda and told him that Rosalinda is very much satisfied and happy with him.  He also told Fernando Jose that he is Rosalinda's lover which makes Rosalinda very indecent in the eyes of Fernando Jose.

  Rosalinda and Soledad went to the doctor because Rosalinda  fainted.  When she regained her consiousness, Soledad forced her to go and and have a check up. Luckily they found out that  Rosalinda is is not going to die because she's only Anemic.  Because of this, she decided to reunite with Fernando Jose
but Fernando Jose was blinded with so much pain and anger did not give her a chance to explain.  While on the other hand, Fedra still doesn't know that she was going to die because she has a deadly desease.  She thought that it is  her pregnancy that makes her feel so sick but it's not.

    There was one fan of Rosalinda who is very rich who wanted to get to know her better.  His name is Agustin Morales.  This rich man gave Rosalinda a set of very a expensive jewelry ( a necklace and a pair of earings with diamonds on it ) as a gift. Rosalinda accepted the gift because Agustin told him that the only thing he wants in return is for Rosalinda to have dinner with him. They had their dinner at Fernando Jose's restaurant.

  Fernando Jose gave up on Rosalinda, he decided to stay away from Rosalinda for good.  Months later, Beto  and Valeria planned to get rid of Bertha. Beto hired Ramiro, one of his friends to kill Bertha.  Bertha was intentionally hit by Ramiro's car one night when she is suppose to meet Florentino. Florentino brought her in a hospital and luckily she survived.  Florentino did not give the real name of Bertha at the hospital in order to protect her.

    Agustin Morales, a very powerful and rich man helped Rosalinda to get Erika back.  They filed a case at the court in order to get custody of Erika . Natalia and Gerardo set up Fernando Jose to meet a woman named Luz Maria ( one of Natalia's friends ) in order for him to somehow get his mind off Rosalinda since he's hurting so much. Rosalinda thought of kidnapping her daughter Erika because she's becoming too desperate to be with her but she did not do it.  Fedra fired Veronica from her job as a helper in their house..

    Soledad was starting to get worried when Rosalinda hasn't come home yet since morning and doesn't know where she went. She asked Agustin for help. Rosalinda was kidnapped by Demetrio, Agustin's brother, in order to get a very big  favor from Agustin. Agustin gave Demetrio what he asked for in exchange for  Rosalinda's freedom. Soledad was very happy when Rosalinda was finally freed by Demetrio.

    The next day, Agustin went to Rosalinda's house and proposed for marriage but Rosalinda told him that she doesn't love him and so she can't marry him.  Agustin felt so sad and left.  Abril went to a beauty salon for a makeover, after the makeover she looked really great and so Beto was drooling over her. Valeria saw this and she got jealous but Beto told her that what he did wasn't true.  That he only told Abril that she was beautiful so that she wouldn't get an idea that the two of them ( Beto and Valeria ) are having an affair.

    Annibal confessed to Lucy that the child  Fedra is bearing is his child.  Lucy got very mad and hurt and so she went to her fathers house and told him everything. Annibal followed Lucy and explained to Javier that he loves Lucy very much.  That the only reason why he and Fedra had sex is because Fedra seduced him.

    Agustin and Rosalinda went to Fernando Jose's restaurant to have dinner.  Everybody was there. The couple Gerardo and Natalia, Alex was with his newly discovered talent, Luz Maria, Ferda was also there.  Veronica suddenly came in, she was drunk and looks very dirty again. Valeria, Beto and Abril also arrived.  When Veronica saw  Valeria, she shouted that Valeria Altamirano is the one responsible for her miseries and that Valeria took everything away from her.

    The guards forcibly took Veronica out of the restaurant because she was already becoming too noisy .  Few minutes later, Agustin asked Fernando Jose if he could play the piano as Rosalinda sings and so they did. Soledad went to the hospital to visit Bertha.  Soledad asked Bertha if they could be friends since Alfredo is already dead. At first, Bertha was hesitant but because of Soledad's comforting and friendly words, she agreed and they shook hands.

    Ramiro decided to tell Bertha that it was Valeria and Beto who ordered to kill her. Ramiro did this because he got pissed off at Beto ( because Beto did not pay him). Beto found out that Bertha is still alive and that Ramiro is helping her and so he went to the hospital one night and killed Bertha.
 
 
 

    Fernando Jose received the approval of their divorce papers. He can't imgaine his life without Rosalinda and so he went to his house and convnced her that he loves her so much and couldn't live without her. Rosalinda loves him very much too and so both of them dicided to get back together.  While Fernando is still at the house of Rosalinda, he received a phone call from Dr. Riverol ( the family doctor). Dr. Riverol asked him to go to the hospital because he needs to tell him about Fedra's condition.

    Fernando Jose found out that Fedra is dying but Fedra still doesn't know about it. Fernando Jose went home and checked on Fedra.  Fernando decided not to leave Fedra because she's dying.  Rosalinda told Agustin that she can't marry him because she and Fernando Jose are getting back together. The next day, Rosalinda went to Fernando Jose's restaurant to tell him that they can now live together but Fernando Jose told Rosalinda that he can't leave Fedra. Rosalinda got so angry and she didn't even gave Fernando Jose the chance to explain and left hurriedly with Agustin.  She told him how hurt she was about everuthing that had happened.

    Valeria organized a Charity Bazaare which is a sort of a fund raising for the poor. Everybody attended, Fedra & Fernando Jose, Rosalinda came with Agustin because Enriqueta invited her. Abril was ordered by Valeria to dress like a maid because she has to serve the visitors.  Veronica also came. She and Valeria talked. Valeria asked her to leave but she stayed, she has decided to continue working for Fernando Jose so that she could earn his love and affection and in time, reveal her true identity.

    Valeria gave a 14 carat ring while Fedra gave her gold bracelet with diamonds on it for the fundraising. Rosalinda gave her diamond necklace, and every single jewelry that Agustin gave her as a gift.  She gave enough credit to Agustin for giving it to her. She also donated her wedding ring, the ring that Fernando Jose gave her since they are already divorced.

    While Abril was serving the visitors she accidentally  dropped the beverages she was carrying and so Valeria slapped her and called her stupid infront of the visitors.  Rosalinda felt that it was so wrong, she got so angry and told everybody that Abril is Valeria's daughter. Valeria tried to save herself from  embarassment and so she said that what Rosalinda said wasn't true, that Rosalinda is crazy.

    The next day, Fedra was brought to the hospital because she was experiencing so much pain. Fernando Jose asked Dr. Riveroll not to tell Fedra's family about her condition yet.

Abril has decided to leave Valeria's house after what has happened.  But before she left she discovered that her husband Beto, and Valeria have an affair. She left the house and went straight to Rosalinda because she doesn't know where to go. Rosalinda and Soledad accepeted her as family.  Veronica offered Abril to live with her in her house which is also in the same compound.  Valeria is obliged to give Soledad and Rosalinda the money that they inherited from Alfredo because that was what the court has ruled. But Valeria still doesn't want to give it to them.

    Agustin gave Rosalinda a surprise by bringing Ericka to her.  The judge ruled that Rosalinda and Fernando Jose should share custody of Ericka.  Lucy  and Annibal got back together.  They were still talking outside the house when Fernando Jose came, they tried to tell him that he's not the father of Fedra's baby but he didn't gave them the chance, he said that he's in a hurry. Fernando Jose went to Rosalinda's house to see Ericka and while he was going in, he heard Rosalinda asking Agustin if he still wants to marry her. Agustin answered yes.

    Enriqueta gave back Fernando Jose the ring that Rosalinda donated for charity.  She said that tje ring was rightfully his. Fernando Jose sent a bundle of red roses to Rosalinda and with it is what used to be their engangement ring.  Meanwhile, Soledad  went  to Dr. Riveroll because the doctor asked her to come.  He told her that Fedra is sick and that she's dying.

    Lolo Florentino went to Valeria's house and tried to trick her but Valeria poisoned him by puting a poison in his drink. Florentino left the house without knowing about what Valeria did to him.  While he was walking he felt something really bad and started to think.  He come up with the conclusion that the reason why he was feeling so bad is because Valeria poisoned her.

    Rosalinda went to Fernando Jose's restaurant and threw away the flowers that he gave her. She also returned the ring. She told Fernando Jose that she wishes that Fedra would love him the way that she loves him.  Fernando Jose asked her to stop talking and  told her about Fedra's condition.  Rosalinda felt so sad.  They hugged each other and admitted that they still love each other.  They were embracing each other while crying.

     Veronica and Georgina brought Fedra to the Hospital because she lost her consciousness. Everybody went to the hospital. Javier came with Soledad, Lucy and Annibal. Fernando Jose came with Rosalinda.  Florentino is already dead but before he died he was able to tell Rosalinda that he was poisoned by Valeria.

    At the hospital, Rosalinda told Fernando Jose who his real mother is. That it was Veronica. At first Fernando Jose could not accept her but after a while he did. Before Fedra died she told Fernando Jose that the child she gave birth to is not his child. Javier was the one who told him that Annibal was the child's father and so Fernando Jose gave the baby to  Lucy and Annibal.

    Veronica was able to get back all the wealth that was stolen by Valeria from her. Veronica asked Abril to live with her and Fernando Jose at Fernando Jose's house.  They all agreed to make the Altamirano's house a
place for the homeless street children since the house reminds them of all the bad things that ever happened to
their lives.

    Valeria and Beto got arrested for their crimes. Everybody went to Agustin Morales' ranch for the wedding  His brother is planning to kill him if he gets married because he doesn't want him to be happy.

    On the day of the wedding, Fernando Jose  decided to fight for his love and so he went to the ranch but his car had a flat tire but he thought of some other ways to get to the church.   He went in the church, right across the altar and stared at Rosalinda, like he was begging her not to say yes but Rosalinda kept her promise and said yes.  But Agustin said no.  Agustin told her that he couldn't marry her and riun her life forever. Agustin wasn't killed by his brother because he didn't marry Rosalinda.

    Fernando Jose and Rosalinda got married again.  Everybody were very happy for the two of them.
