The daughter of Professor Gast and Ifalna, Aeris is the last surviving Cetra and so is much sought after by ShinRa. After her resisting parents were killed by ShinRa, Aeris was found and brought up by Elmyra and works as a flower seller in Midgar's slums. She meets Cloud after he helps her escape from the Turks and joins him and the others when they rescue her from ShinRa's HQ. However, when a new enemy appears on the scene, her life becomes endangered as she is the only one that can foil his plans. Knowing this, Sephiroth will stop at nothing to get rid of her...
Aeris is never strong in battle, so it's best to load her down with materia and keep her as a strong magic user. Her Limit Breaks are useful for saving your party from difficult situations, so it's quite a good idea to keep her in Fury so you can use them often.
Aeris's Limit Breaks
Level 1
Healing Wind
A light breeze refreshes the party and heals them a little. Works like Cure magic. If Aeris' Limit Meter fills and your characters are high on HP, don't waste it - wait until their HP gets a bit low before you use it.
Seal Evil
Casts Silence on the enemy. Usually won't work on bosses.
Level 2
Breath of the Earth
Blue beams of light cure the party of any status effects. If none of your party are afflicted with a status effect, however, it's useless
Fury Brand
A quick blast of holy power instantly fills the party's Limit Meters, except Aeris's.
Level 3
Planet Protector
Aeris summons a bunch of holy stars to make the whole party invincible for one turn. Be aware, though, that they will also be made invincible to curative magic and items.
Pulse of Life
The whole party is completely cured of any negative status effects, and their HP and MP are completely restored.
Level 4
Great Gospel
Aeris calls upon some angels to shine a holy light on the entire party, completely restoring their HP and MP, curing them of status effect, AND making them invincible for one turn. Nice.
You can get the Great Gospel manual after receiving the buggy from Dio at the Gold Saucer. Drive into Costa del Sol and get the cargo ship to Junon. Drive across the river and enter the cave in the mountain. There, you will find a sleeping old man. Speak to him, and he will tell you how many battles you've fought (you may need to run in and out of the cave a few times before he'll tell you). You need to get the two end digits to be the same, eg 144 or 377. If they're not, fight a few random battles outside the cave until they are. Then speak to the old guy again, and he'll wake up and give you a piece of Mythril. Now take the buggy back across the sea, past Gold Saucer and across the river towards Gongaga. Before you reach Gongaga, you'll see a little house standing all on its own near the sea. Enter and speak to the weapon seller, then give him the Mythril. He'll say you can open either the large or small box. Choose the small box, then go upstairs and open the box on the wall at the end of the balcony to receive Great Gospel.
Remember, Aeris can only learn Great Gospel if she's learnt all her other Limit Breaks.
