This is the first part of the season finale. It begins by taking us back in time 200 years to see Angel first becoming a vampire. And then we see how the gypsies put the curse on him. We see him in 1996, on street corners, eating rats to live. I really felt sorry for him here. A demon, not really a bad demon, comes to help him "become someone". He takes him to Los Angeles, and shows him Buffy at her first school. This is when Buffy first finds out that she's the slayer. Buffy has really long hair here, sort of like she did in "I Know What You Did Last Summer". He falls in love with Buffy almost immediately, and tells the demon that he wants to help her kill the vampires, that he wants to become someone. But, he tells the demon, "I don't want to dress like you." :) In the present time, Drusilla has plans to unleash a major demon on the world, and everyone in the world will go to hell, literally, if she accomplishes this. Someone worthy has to pull a sword out of the statue of the demon. Angel tries, but obviously, he's not worthy. Kendra, the other slayer, comes to warn Buffy of everything, and to help her. Buffy and Willow find the disk behind the desk, and talk about trying to put the curse back on Angel. Xander is very much against this, though. He tells Buffy that she just wants to forget all about Ms. Calendar's desk, which Angel is responsible for, just so that she can "get her boyfriend back." They try to do it anyway, and Willow goes into a coma, and Giles gets captured by the vampires. Kendra does everything in her power to fight them off, while Buffy is off fighting Angel, and Drusilla gets the better of her and kills her. The episode ends with Buffy running back into the library to help Kendra, and finding her dead on the floor, her throat slit. She was a little too late. And the police see her standing over Kendra's dead body, and she is a murder suspect. And then the episode ends, leaving us hanging. . .
