Captain Panaka
As head of security on Naboo he is probably the most skilled soldier on the planet. He received most of his battle experience when he was assigned to a Republic Task Force and battled pirates Naboo's sector. He was appointed to his rank after the former head of security, Captain Magneta, couldn't prevent the death of the former King Veruna. Panaka thinks that Naboo have to weak security. But until recently the advisory council didn't think it was necessary. But the invasion by the Trade Federation made them change their mind. Panaka never seems to leave the Queens side not even when she is taken to a prison after the invasion. They are surprisingly rescued by two Jedi ambassadors and Panaka take arms immediately. He help the Jedis liberate the pilots in the Hangar and fly away with them and the Queen to Coruscant. But they are severly damaged by the blockade and the Jedis decide to land on a Hutt controlled planet called Tatooine. Panaka doesn't agree with the Jedis in going to Tatooine but in the end he can't do anything about it. He stays behind in the starship while one of the Jedis, a Gungan and R2-D2 head for a settlement. Together with the Queen he agrees to let her go with in order to control the events. Amidala disguises herself as a handmaiden named Padme Naberrie and take with the others. After a while they return and the heroes head for Coruscant. There Queen Amidala confronts the Senate and plee for help. But the bureaucrats prevail the help and Amidala sets a vote of no confidence to Chancellor Valorum. In the end Naboo's senator Palpatine is appointed as new chancellor. But first Panaka travels back to Naboo with Amidala to free the people. They work out a plan to capture the neimoidian Viceroy. They use the Gungan army to get the troops out of the city. They secure the hangar and the pilots fly out to wipe out the Droid Control Ship. Panaka and Amidala proceed to the palace but they meet battle droids and are nearly defeated. But they use the grappling hook on their blasters and fight their way to the throne room. But there they are captured by the droids and brought before the viceroy. But Amidala has some hidden blasters in her throne and while the droids pursue the decoy, Amidala and Panaka capture the Viceroy. Meantime the Droid Control Ship is destroyed and the heroes win. Panaka is still head of security and has now gained even more battle experience along with all of his troops.
