Question: Hey Ryan, First I would like to congradulate you on your success as becoming a well-recognized actor. My question is : Do you fell like youcould relate to the character Sam on " The Deep End of the Ocean" or other show that you starred in?
Ryan Merriman: Not really as Sam, but in Smart House the character is like me - fun and likes to have a good time.

Question: Hi Ryan (you are such a cutie!) I heard you were a Oklahoma native How long did you live in oklahoma when you got your fist big break in the acting buisness. I live in Oklahoma and I love it here!
Ryan Merriman) I still live in Oklahoma. I was about 10 when I got the Mommies tv series.

Question: Ryan-which movie, out of all you've been in, would you say you are most proud of?
Ryan Merriman : I am most proud of either Everything That Rises or Just Looking (not out yet) because they were hard roles for me to play (more challenging!)

Question: ryan if you werent into acting what would you be doing and why?
Ryan Merriman: I would probably be an engineer or something like that. I like to build stuff.

Ryan Merriman: Smart House will be out in November. Out now is Deep End of the Ocean, Everything That Rises, Lansky and Night Ride Home.

Ryan Merriman: My best is science and photography and my worst is English.

Question: Ryan- What else do you like to do on your time off? Do you play any sports?
Ryan Merriman: Yes I play baseball, paintball and motocross. I like to snowboard when it snows.

Ryan Merriman: Yes... I read it and answer it when I have some free time.

Question: Ryan, what other actors do you hope to work with in the future?
Ryan Merriman: Mel Gibson, Sean Connery,Charlie Therzon and Julia Roberts.

Ryan Merriman: Don't know about Just Looking yet... maybe a cable film.

Question: Ryan- Are you affected by being a celeb, how has it changed your life and WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A GIRL??
Ryan Merriman: No, not affected at all. The only way it's changed my life is that I've been able to travel and meet many great people who I work with.

Question: will you be featured as J2 on the Pretender any time soon?
Ryan Merriman: We aren't sure what direction the show will take, but I will be in it as Young Jarod and J2.
Ryan Merriman: Write NBC and tell them to put me in more :-)

Question: I loved how you did the Little 5five dance in Smart house!!! It was soo cute! How long did it take you to learn that? And.....Do you like 5five? Who is your favorite band?
Ryan Merriman: Only took about 4 hours to learn.......I don't really like 5five. My favorite artist is Kid Rock.

Question: which do you perfer acting in; the pretender or in the movies?
Ryan Merriman: I like doing movies a little more. Different roles.

Question: what would you do if you had 24hrs to live?
Ryan Merriman: I would buy a Harley and cruise PCH (pacific coast highway) and go to the nearest skydiving place.

Question: DO OYU WORK OUT? HOW DO YOU STAY IN SHAPE?
Ryan Merriman: Yes... I work out daily. I lift weights and run.

Question: Ryan I saw you on Howie Mandel... I remember you had mentioned something about owning a truck. What kind of truck do you have? You looked sooo adorable when you were talking about the 'ladies'
Ryan Merriman: I have a black Chevy Silvarado Extended Cab (1997), but I'm about to get an Explorer.

Question: Ryan.. when you are getting ready to make a movie, do u get to read the script first be4 u decide if u wanna star in the movie?
Ryan Merriman: Yes... It's always good to know what you are getting into.

Question: ryan i have to go in a few mins but want u to know your the best
Ryan Merriman: Gee thanks for being a great fan... I really appreciate it!

Question: Ryan, I was wondering, what is your favorite place to be? I live in Utah and its not exciting!
Ryan Merriman: I like to go to Colorado and ski. I love the outdoors!

Question: ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO BE IN CROWN OF BLOOD OR NOT?
Ryan Merriman: I don't know where that rumor got started. I have never heard of that script! And neither has Jake Lloyd.

Question: Ryan- we are HUGE devoted fans, and we were wondering where do you see yourself in 10 years???
Ryan Merriman: I see myself happy with my life and still acting, but if not I will probably own some company.

Question: Ryan, I live in Oklahoma and I was wondering, How much are you here with your job and all , How much time do you usually get to stay here Out of a year.
Ryan Merriman: I travel a lot, but usually I'm in Oklahoma about half the year.

Question: Ryan- do you ever get weirded out by fan letters or obsessed fans?? Do they scare you?? (BTW WE LOVE YOU MAN!!)
Ryan Merriman: Not by fan letters... I love to get them. I only have a few obsessed fans :-( That scares me!

Question: Hollywood410 wants to know if you have a good singing voice. :)
Ryan Merriman: Yes... before I started acting I sang and danced on the stage!

Question: do you surf the net and see all web pages dedicated to you?

Question: Hey Ryan, I want to say congratulations on your nominations!!! Are you surprised at your success so far in life?
Ryan Merriman: I'm happy with the success that I've had... I've been fortunate to have the hard work pay off. I was pretty surprised to get three nominations!

Question: do you play any instruments?
Ryan Merriman: I play the guitar and drums. My mom hates it ;-)

Question: Ryan, who do you feel has been the most influential person in your life?
Ryan Merriman: Probably my parents... they always stick by me and support whatever I do. They are the best.

Question: Ryan, it isn't on your page anymore, but are you still a Xena fan?
Ryan Merriman: Not really a fan any more :-(

Question: Ryan- what advice do you have for ppl who want to start an acting career??
Ryan Merriman: Only do it if it's something you want to do, but realize that you give up a lot to act. It is a lot of fun and I really like it. Take lessons locally and then go from there.

Question: ryan i love everything that rises movie you acted in did you already know how to ride?? do you ahve any horses?? and i have 1 horse you were great in htat moive. every time i ride i think of that movie
Ryan Merriman: Yes I knew how to ride a horse long before that. I have a horse named "Cinder."

Question: Ryan- Are there any pets that u would like to get? i would love to have a PURPLE LLAMA! (i know sounds really weird) but i think that llamas are really cute! :o)
Ryan Merriman: I always have wanted a black Jaguar (not the car) or a snow leopard.

Question: Ryan, is it hard memorizing your scripts?
Ryan Merriman: Not really. You get used to it. You don't have to memorize the whole thing. You do it scene by scene.

Question: hey ryan i really dont know what to say.. i think u r totally awesome and i hope u keep acting. If that ever doesn't work out, would u be interested in direcing?
Ryan Merriman: Yes, the cameramen on the projects always say I have the aptitude to direct. I might direct or produce if acting doesn't work out.

Question: What is the most stressful role you've had to get into.
Ryan Merriman: Probably Everything that Rises... it was very dramatic and tough to play someone handicapped.

Question: Ryan- Do you go to a public or private school, or are you tutored?
Ryan Merriman: I go to public school except when I'm working on a project, then I have a tutor.

Question: Have you ever thought about doing public appearances where the fans get to meet you and get autographs?
Ryan Merriman: I have done that lots of times and doing that in the future. I will be in Denver on Nov. 20th to sign autographs and introduce Smart House on video.

Question: Do you have a fan clud
Ryan Merriman: Off of my web site you can get the address to write. You will get a newsletter and stuff.

Question: Would you like to live in a house like The Smart house?
Ryan Merriman: Yes for sure. That would be so cool!
