A battle race is basically a race.  You start at the word "start" written on the level and you have to work your way to the finish.  You can knock you opponents back using weapons, but there's no point in trying to kill them, they're invincible.   First one to place there worm on the word "finish" wins.  The number in parentheses are the number of levels in the package.
