There are several Black History Month events that will celebrated at the various 'BPL's in the borough of Brooklyn. But there is one in particular at the Central Library (Grand Army Plaza Branch) that has caught my eye as well as being within a time slot that I may be able to handle... What is it? Meet the Author - John McWhorter author of...
'Authentically Black: Essays for the Black Silent Majority'
Celebrated and controversial author John McWhorter calls for racial enlightenment and covers contemporary issues such as profiling, the reparations movement, hip hop, and affirmative action. When is it? February 23, 2003 - Sunday at 2pm in the 2nd Floor Auditorium.
