Enrollment

To enroll your child(ren) you must complete the following:

1.  Interview with the administrator as requested in person or via phone.

2.  Agree with the Parent/Teacher Responsibilities.

3.  Submit required forms and pay required fees.  All the enrollment forms are available on this website for you to print and fill out.  If you are unable to do this, you can mail $5 to ESM via snail mail and we will send the forms to you.  You may deduct the $5 when sending in your required fee and paperwork.  If taking this option, be sure to tell the number of students and their grades you will be enrolling.

Below is a checklist and a link to each of the forms required for enrollment. Be sure to enlarge each page to full screen capacity before printing.

4.  Upon acceptance, by law, the parent shall provide for up-to-date transfer of academic and health records.  This includes the Kindergarten physical and immunization records or waivers thereof and a birth certificate for each student enrolled.  If your child is coming into ESM from a public or private school, these records may come with the student's cumulative folder via the Transfer of Records Request.

5.  Application for enrollment in ESM is open to all homeschooling households wherein at least one parent/guardian is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ--Yeshua and can agree with the Statement of Faith.  ESM does not racially discriminate and does not exclude families from enrollment based on race.  However, because ESM is religious in nature, it reserves the right to make distinctions in areas of religious beliefs and affiliations.

Upon completion of enrollment, the parent will receive Quarterly Reports for each child which is used to record attendance (required by law) and grades (optional).  These reports are to be sent to ESM each quarter.  You may start school whenever you choose but complete 180 days of school within one year of your start date and must file reports according to ESM reporting periods.  For more info on Quarterly Reports go to:  Quarterly Reports

Parents will also receive a packet with various information including an ID Card for the school which will also allow you a 20% discount with Books-A-Million and if you are enrolled before August you will receive Book It coupons for grades K - 6.

Fee Schedule:  2001/2002 School Year for New Enrollees*

Interview/Counseling Fee:  $25
This is for families homeschooling for the first time who desire one-on-one orientation, curriculum counseling, etc.  This does not require any commitment to enroll with ESM.  If the family enrolls with ESM, this fee is deducted from the registration fee and student fee.

Family Registration Fee:  $75  Per family per year PLUS student fee(s).

Student Fee:     K - 8th ~ $10 each       9th - 11th ~ $25 each      Senior ~ $50 each

Example:  A family with a 3rd grader & a 10th grader would pay $75 + $10 + $25 = $110

Discount for Re-Enrollment
For each year a family completes enrollment with ESM they are eligible to receive the following discount:

1 - 2 years:  $10 off total fees
3 - 5 years:  $20 off total fees
5+ years:  $30 off total fees

Maximum Fee
The maximum fee per family is $175.00 per year.  Therefore, regardless of the number of children a family will pay no more than the maximum fee (*except for transcript fees).

* Incoming students will incur and additional fee of $20 for each high school year that they do NOT have transcripts.

Special Fees for Single Parents
ESM has special fee arrangements for single homeschooling parents.  Contact us for more information.

NOTE:  All fees are due at the time of enrollment unless other arrangements have been approved and are non-refundable.  FPEA and CHEF membership fees are not included in the above fees.

FPEA & CHEF Fees: ESM members are eligible for discount membership to these two state support groups for $15 each.  Send a separate check made out to ESM for each group you want to join.  If you are a previous member of FPEA send also your ID#.  For more info go to Homeschooling Support Groups & Resources.

Violations
When compliance with ESM requirements would result in a hardship, it is the responsibility of the parent to notify the school in writing.  Such a notification should be made before a violation occurs in order  to work out a solution or an extension.  When a violation occurs, a letter will be sent to advise of the violation and to seek resolution. If necessary, a second letter will be sent to families who fail to respond.  If a family, after receiving two letters, does not respond within a period of seven days from the date of the letter, the family shall be assumed to be negligent and will be notified that their student(s) is/are removed from enrollment and the corresponding files will be closed.  Such action cancels all of the family's rights and privileges to ESM.  All existing records shall remain on file until a transfer is requested and obligations are met.  No further records will be accepted until the procedures for enrollment reinstatement are completed.  Incomplete reporting/records and unpaid financial obligations will require student records to be held.
