3,500 years ago a clan of Women Diviners who were descended from the "many Fu," the ancient wise women of the most ancient times, began reading the future on the shell of a turtle. This clan of women became queens and royal diviners in the Shang Dynasty. Lao Tzu is said to have been descended from them.
This symbol above is the clan sign for the Fu Hao. The symbol itself is a copy of of the sign found on brass rubbings found in the grave of the Fu Hao c. 1500 BC. The most ancient and mystical writings which today comprise the modern Book of Changes were their contribution to this divinely- inspired book of wisdom. No longer forgotten, we acknowledge this clan and their eminent lineage.
This I Ching, Yi Jing Journal is for diviners, I Ching scholars, historians, and other students of the Book of Changes. This site is about the origins and esoteric spiritual meanings of the First Book, the book where all things begin, the I Ching. We honor the seeker that brought you here.
