Story of a Ryde or Die Chick
Eve, the super hit from Philly, began her career similar to many of our favorite entertainer, she struggled and moved her way until she finally reached platinum. Eve began her career with a meeting with Dr.Dre. Only it was an unexpected meeting. Eve simply got on the mic and started rapping to an impressed Dr. Dre. Dre told her he would bring her to California to work with her

Eve had doubts about Dre calling her. She had went through many auditions, but to her surprise she called the next day. She'd auditioned for him on Saturday and Sunday and was told to be in his studio by Friday.

Eve only completed a few songs once in Dr. Dre's Studio. Dr. Dre was mainly busy working on his record label. Before Eve could finish her album her contract with Aftermath expired.

Eve later met up with the aspiring dog DMX, while he was promoting his album, It's Dark And Hell Is Hot. Eve then moved back to Philly, yet she visited New York a lot, and while there she'd hang out with the Ruff Ryder's Camp. Eve was a finally invited to a trial by fire, in which she had to freestyle with members of Ruff ryders to get signed.

Afterwards she was in many collaborations with many artists. Including The Roots' "You Got Me," BLACKstreet's "Girlfriend/Boyfriend" and the remix of the "Ruff Ryders Anthem. With credits from her own album Eve: The First Lady Of Ruff Ryders.

Eve used to be a part of a singing group  that covered songs from En Vogue to Color me Badd. Their manager soon suggested they start rapping.

So she was like most rappers and started rhyming in cafeterias to eventually everywhere. Talent shows and contests. This was before there were really female emcees she soon reached true mic skills and expressed the skills of what we all know as Eve's style.
