Wilderness First Aid and Emergency Response:
Wilderness First Aid and Emergency Response trains you in the basic care of injuries and medical problems, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency childbirth. Wilderness First Aid trains you to improvise in backcountry situations. It includes, among other topics, hypothermia, frostbite, altitude, lightning, and water disinfection. Skills practice is intensive, including assessment and communication as well as physical skills. Those who complete all course requirements get three certifications, Emergency Response, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Wilderness First Aid. The course cost $150.00 dollars which includes a ER textbook, ER workbook, WFA textbook, and a resuscitation mask.
